The majority of people around us are way too ignorant and nonchalant to understand the gravity of the situation. My sons do work in auto repair. This summer after a long job in the northeast they decided to visit Montreal, Canada and do some shopping with their hard earned cash. They showed

their US passports to the officer. Their car was searched at the Canadian border. They spent an hour answering questions similar to the man in the video-one question being, "Do you have any tattoos?". They were not allowed into Canada and were told it was because they had tools in their vehicle. They went on a tour of the New England states instead. They were shocked at the treatment they got by border patrol having many times in the past visited BC, Canada and had never been given "the second degree" before.

i was treated the same way as a us citizen returning from one week in Nicaragua. Asked 1000 questions by an iraq veteran war criminal with a badge. He told me the new laws take away silence you must answer the questions. After 2 hours of detainment in a holding cell they dumped out my luggage tore out the liner, strip searched went through all my pockets and bill fold. Ask questions about every business card and piece of paper. For example a tiny one ounce bottle. They ask what is this? I said its empty! They said "what was in it?"

When you understand Hitlers parents were border patrol agents it makes sense. When a cop sees you he sees $100,000 per year if they can find a way to put you in jail. There is one overpaid cop and one jail cell for each 100 US citizens. by comparison Nicaragua has one low wage cop per 2000 people.

Unfortunately, theere are a$$holes in every organization, but they seem to congreate in government service. Canadians do not require visas to visit the USA, and the reverse is also true. The officer in this audio sould be immediately sent for re-training.

This just made up my mind about never ever visiting the USA again.

It makes me wonder what kind of people take these "security" jobs. This customs official obviously is starving for some respect, but in trying to extract it, receives less. Armed services or armed thuggery? A tussle over a scrap of basic human dignity is a troubling sign of our times.
