I don't necessarily believe today's events were set in motion by the creation of the Bank of England, as one poster implied, but I certainly believe that bank and its cohorts are instrumental in perpetuating our woes through the ignorance of failing to learn from past mistakes, specifically the use of fiat money to promote a totalitarian world government.

Lincoln's and Roosevelt's main objectives were always about maintaining control of the money supply for the "royals". Both were hypocrites and never deserved the praise they receive today as the saviors of civil rights and American prosperity. Obama will prove to be no different, but does appear to be in a better position to do much more damage.

IMHO, there are two undisputable laws of war: 1) Money is the leading reason they are started 2) the victors write their history (with little regard for the truth).

True enough, Lincoln established the concept of "Inability of states to secede from the Union". The purpose was to protect the Union from being splintered, and from becoming easy prey to "feudalist" interests which were bent on undermining the Anglo-Saxon principles of government set out in the original Constitution of the United States.

The "War of Independence" was a fight between the North American colonists who believed in Anglo-Saxon principles of governance, and the British Monarchy and their loyalists who stood for Norman "feudalist" rule. By providence, the victory at Yorktown in 1781 dealt defeat to the feudalists.

Furthermore, by providence the 1787 U.S. Constitution was modeled after the 1636 Constitution of Connecticut which enshrined Anglo-Saxon principles of governance for Americans. Though black slavery, as an expression of feudalism, continued to exist under the Constitution, it made the fight between the "Anglo-Saxons" and the "Feudalists" inevitable. Lincoln stood full square on the side of the "Anglo-Saxon" ideas.

Fast forward to 1913. The "feudalists", though defeated in the "War of Independence" and in the "Civil War", were able to fundamentally change Anglo-Saxon principles of governance by getting the states to ratify the 16th and 17th Amendments.

It was under the presidency of Woodrow Wilson, a sympathizer of black slavery, that "feudalists" gained a major victory by changing the "Anglo-Saxon", republican form of government in the U.S. into a quasi Democracy.

The 16th and 17th Amendments made possible for bankers and feudalist interests, with support from FDR, to steal the savings of the American people in 1933, and to establish a central bank which controls the value of wages for work performed. World War I and World War II served to prepare Americans to accept the "feudalist", top-down, Norman way of governance made possible by the ratification of the two amendments.

The final blow against the Anglo-Saxon principles of governance was struck by the people of California in passing Proposition 13 in 1979 which changed the California Constitution. Proposition 13 broke the covenance California into with the other states when it joined the Union. No other states followed California in making a like change to their constitution.

Nevertheless, it only took the lone state of California to deal a blow to the financial and monetary system of the United States, and to expose its government to greater and greater influence by "feudalist interests".

The Obama Administration is a natural outgrowth of the efforts by "feudalist" interests to gain the upper hand in governing the United States. As soon as the "feudalist interests" achieved control over the popular culture, what has happened so far, and what is going to happen under Obama is a foregone conclusion.

Is it any wonder that the "feudalist", controlling the popular media, would portray Lincoln and FDR, or for that matter Obama, in any other way then to serve their interests... ??? Of course not... ..

Don't laugh, but the bottom half of a blog named Shatner's Toupee ( Click to view link ) contains a comprehensive expose of mass media's collaboration with FDR's deceit. The blogger actually sympathizes with FDR, excusing presidential posing as a "necessary (and risky) illusion."

At a relatively young age, FDR never walked again.

No Frank, unfortunately, you and the DB are spot on. Lincoln let this cat out of the bag with his reign of tyranny. It will never be fixed at the federal level. It's time for the south to rise again I think. 310 million people are not mangeable from Mordor on the Potomac river. We're completely out of scale now. It MUST be broken up into smaller, more manageable sized pieces IMHO.

I grew up thinking Lincoln & Roosevelt were our two greatest Presidents. When I finally awoke to the problem of our out-of-control, big government welfare/warfare/police state, I realized that our impending bankruptcy was greatly due to the ever expanding "New Deal" mentality started by Roosevelt. As I later became aware of our overbearing Federal Government stepping on our States Rights, personal rights & turning us into a police state, I had to reluctantly also agree that the prime culprit was originally Lincoln. Sadly, most Americans are unaware of all this. We will implode as a nation and collapse financially. I doubt if Americans will be aware for the reason of this collapse and will then instead opt for a One World Order, One World Currency & perpetual serfdom after the collapse. Am I being overly pessimistic for the once great USA?

Too many people have an inflated view of their political leaders, while the ones who really make their countries go, the inventors, the entrepreneurs, the producers, the buyers and sellers, in short, people engaging in human/economic action, get short shrift. That's looking through the wrong end of the telescope. Politicians don't make countries go, the people do.

Interesting: nothing about 9-11, nothing about two treasonously stolen elections - 2000 & '04, nothing about the treason committed in lying the country into the War Crime in Iraq, nothing about the Patriot Act, nothing about squandering a 1.5 TRILLION dollar surplus by giving it to the rich, nothing about TWO TRILLION squandered in "The War on Terror, Nothing about the purposeful manslaughetr of 18000 American citizens in Katrina's aftermath, nothing about a million dead Irai non combatants, nothing about the ongoing & treasonous voter suppression by the rethugnican party, nothing about the malevolent creation of the Tea Party by the Koch Bros, nothing about the poisonous effects of Citizens United.

I purchased an original copy of this book from a used bookstore years ago. J. Edgar Hoover is another in the long list of conservative America-firsters that have been vilified by the Democratic Mainstream Media. He gives a mound of evidence in this book about Communist/Socialist front organizations that were either infiltrated or founded by communists from the 1920's to the late 1950's when this book was written. This book should be a must-read for every high school student in America so they can identify their tricks and tactics. Unfortunately, with how our national Republican and Democratic Representatives trample on the Constitution, it may be too late.
