Savage Attacks: Flu Debunkery Hits the Conservative Mainstream

By Staff Report
12

Michael Savage: Don't trust feds on flu shot ... 'Not everything your government tells you is true' ... Asking listeners to put aside his political orientation for a moment, talk-radio host Michael Savage questioned the federal government's recommendation that citizens get a flu shot. ... "Did Harry Reid take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama take a flu shot? Did Barack Obama's lovely family take a flu shot? Did Joe Biden take a flu shot?" Savage asked. "Which of the mandarins took the flu shot?" – World Net Daily

Dominant Social Theme: Take as many jabs as you can get. They're good for you.

Free-Market Analysis: Michael Savage has come out in opposition to flu jabs. His audience of some 10 million listeners is now at least partially aware that the king of conservative shock jocks has serious questions about the flu vaccine. The popular alternative news site World Net Daily has covered Savage's denunciation (see above excerpt).

This tracks our larger assumptions about what we call the Internet Reformation and its effects on mass media and the alternative media in particular. Savage is not exactly mainstream but he is certainly less controlled than establishment communications ... the Big Three US television stations, various radio networks and, of course, the print media including the Washington Post and New York Times.

Our theory is that the Internet is like the Gutenberg press before it; reality-based information hitherto not available is gradually permeating society throughout the West and then among developing countries, too. This information is debunking long held beliefs about the Way the World Works – not just when it comes to money or politics but also for science, sociology and health.

And when it comes to medicine, nowhere has the impact of the Internet Reformation been so evident as involves the vaccine industry. There are literally hundreds of English-language blogs now focused on Western medical delivery and alternative methods of healthcare including naturopathy, homeopathy and acupuncture, among others.

The whole idea of germ theory has once more come under attack, with naturopaths aggressively questioning the idea that germs are infectious agents. Naturalhealthscience.com prominently posts the following statement:

Rudolf Virchow, a contemporary of Pasteur and one of the formulators of the Cell Theory (the foundation of modern biology) reflected: "If I could live my life over again, I would devote it to proving that germs seek their natural habitat: diseased tissue, rather than being the cause of diseased tissue."

Savage, of course, won't go that far, or not these days. World Net Daily makes it clear that Savage is not attacking the pharmaceutical industry as a whole. "He explained that he was talking specifically about vaccines and was not advocating the avoidance of all pharmaceuticals. Savage acknowledged he has benefited from 'an awful lot of life-saving regular medicines.'"

Nonetheless, the article is fairly hard-hitting. As a writer whose first books were on herbal medicines, Savage is in a sense reviving a previous career in debunkery.

"The flu vaccine?" he asked. "No, I wouldn't take it."

Savage noted "not everything your government tells you is true."

"So it's good to have a cynic in radio who questions authority," he said.

Dr. Savage nails the diagnosis in his classic "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder: Savage Solutions," available at WND's Superstore

Savage argued that Centers for Disease Control authorities have to guess what the vaccine should be made of.

"So they choose five strains out of 250-plus strains of Influenza A, and if they don't choose the right one, you're going to get sick," he said.

"So you're putting your faith in the CDC's ability to guess the one that might be a pandemic."

He said that this year, the CDC guessed right on two of the strains and wrong on one of them.

He acknowledged that many people calculate that the risk of a side effect is one in 1 million against the one-in-10,000 risk of being hospitalized or dying.

"But I believe the risks outweigh any benefit," Savage said.

The vaccine, he pointed out, contains formaldehyde and thimerosal – an organic compound containing mercury, which impairs the neurological and immune systems – along with detergents, antibiotics and allergens that cause infertility.

The CDC itself, he noted, lists some of these ingredients on its own website as harmful, though it insists the amounts in vaccines is negligible.

Someone may well say, Savage acknowledged," Well, I took the shot and it didn't kill me."

But when you're older, he argued, "and you get ALS or Alzheimer's disease or MS, or you watch your kid develop seizures, or your kid becomes autistic, God forbid, what are you going to say?"

Savage's debunking is forceful but we would argue it is part of a larger trend. In fact, it is only one of many examples when it comes to vaccines. We would go so far as to suggest that the entire vaccine-oriented dominant social theme is in trouble, much like the global warming theme. If so, what impact does that have on pharmaceutical sales (and credibility) in the future? Please note ... there are real world ramifications.

Conclusion: Decaying memes can cost those who wield them a lot of money.

I've been waiting for Savage to catch up here. Dr. Laura, I hope, is behind him. She got her PhD in Physiology so was very much in the mainstream "lame stream" as best as I can see. But last I checked, she is still there (although I love her for other things).

Savage also has a science background and was quite popular with me years ago as we share a similar history, culture and straightforwardness. We both began on the east coast, ended up on tropical islands and such, then settling on the west coast, me in the Wine Country and he in Marin. I am now back on the east coast (not regretting leaving Fascist CA) but he took me from a New Age Goddess to Conservatism before I saw the light and became Independent Libertarian based.

Back to the subject, I educated myself on vaccines and volunteer for a non-profitthat takes calls and emails each day for vaccine injured. GUESS WHAT?! The numbers are much higher than originally thought. And if this organization is getting reports each and every day (including deaths and paralysis, etc.), what are other organizations getting, and how much is going unreported? ??? Follow the money, meme and medical propaganda. Also, I recommend Mike Adams, Click to view link for lists of what's REALLY in your flu jabs...

I worked in the Texas Medical Center for fifteen years. Starting last year, if one did not take the Flu Vaccine when it was offered by the hospital, one was forced to wear a mask from November until the end of March. I was so glad that I was given a legitimate reason to wear a mask. Now, I was safe from the ones that had taken the flu shot and gotten sick. Some of our co-workers were out for more than a week after taking their flu shots.

Medical doctors around the world are slowly but surely taking more and more interest in so-called alternative methods. During my two year healing training I met several medical doctors who were simply interested in adding another string to their bow to give them alternatives when treating patients. I expect this trend to continue and indeed accelerate.

I used to say that the difference between a Doctor and a Lawyer was that the doctor didn't make you sick so he could cure you. I am not so certain now.

I believe one of the Daily Bell readers once wrote that they learn as much or maybe more from the "Share Your Thoughts" section than the accompanying article. I agree.

Many of the "Share Your Thoughts" writers are Daily Bell Staff quality.

Ah, Mr.Savage finally wades in on the flu vaccine controversy. What a tiger. Listened to this snarling gladiator savage (no pun) callers who tried to mention how the Twin Towers could not have imploded on their footprints from burning jet fuel. His responses flowed thus. . . tin hats. . .whackos. . .conspiracy nuts. . .get off my program. . . I'll explain it to you one more time. Or words to that effect. As many books as he claimed to have read, it would appear he never got around to any of Dr. Ray Griffin's. Or the peer-reviewed technical papers written by professional architects and engineers on the implosion of the buildings. Ditto Limbaugh. O'Reilly. Hannity. Ingraham. Beck. Gallagher. Ad infintalkum.

In fact, you can use 9/11 (and other established hoaxes)as accurate BS monitors when trying to determine whether or not a talk show host is a part of Oz's Hegelian Dialectic. Here's how: if that host is still telling listeners that America was attacked by Arab terrorists. Or that there are panting polar bears wandering aimlessly about melting polar ice caps (due to Global Warming). Or we're running out of oil. Or water. Or there's a population explosion and we're running out of food. Or that vaccines prevent diseases, know what that talk show host is saying is somewhere south of the truth.

I stopped listening them. And NPR. Because of the untruths they forced on listeners. Then, as time and the Internet flowed on, I would read in articles like this one that one of these news talk boomers had taken a stance opposite the meme they had hawked in the bygone. And the question became, why?

A couple of things occurred to me that might have caused the switch: (1) Their credibility was dropping as the Internet ground their scripts to gravel for use on its lengthening and widening highway, and (2) their ratings were dropping as the numbers of enlightened people grew, and the number of unquestioning people who listened to their rants in the past dropped.

Internet trains have been know to leave stations behind.

OK, debunk the debunker. It doesn't change THIS reality: A man with an audience of 10 million listeners just explained that people ought to avoid a vaccine. And then he told them what was in it.

We are told that unvaccinated children in our schools place the other children at risk. How can this be?
If vaccinating children gives them immunity, then exposing them to unvaccinated children or the flu shouldn't make any difference. If that's not the case, then it means that vaccinations don't actually work.

I'm absolutely astounded how the standard of healthcare has fallen even in my quarter-century lifetime.

Wait 2-3 hours signing legalese papers, answering bureaucratic questions, taking pointless tests before I receive any care. Check.
Ineffective pharmaceutical drugs. Check.
Cold staff and an even colder environment. Check.
Extortionist costs. Check.

Tell me again why it costs $7,540 (without the magic of insurance) for flu tests and treatment? Tell me again why your system can 'accidentally' yet instantly double bill the deductible to my bank account but it takes 48 hours to correct it? Please explain to me how an institution can dish out such terrible service and even stay afloat, while a restaurant serving this disgusting garbage would be run out of business in a instant?

Meanwhile within 12 hours of coming home I find and use effective home remedies and homeopathic solutions while their pills and 'treatment' did nothing except make it worse.

Really? This is the best the US healthcare system can do?

I hope I never have to go back.

It's interesting to see the breakdown in the left-right paradigm concerning vaccines and global warming. It shows that perspectives are changing, and that beliefs are no longer specific to one political orientation. This may be confusing for some, but it is a sign that a free for all is beginning to emerge. These are ideas and observations, folks, not political platforms. The Internet Reformation is alive and well, and showing the full range of possibilities. All we need now is for the sheeple to become more skilled with their powers of discrimination so that the process can accelerate.

My health is too important to leave to big pharma! Fortunate enough to have a computer, I can do the research myself and determine how to care for my immune system without turning to drugs that have very little upside and a huge downside. There are so many great resources now with a great deal of real information that it is possible to find actual cures for many issues that are inexpensive and efficacious. True, it is time consuming but the info is available. It took some time for me to unbrainwash myself to the medical conditioning that we will die without this vaccine or that drug, but now that I have, I have never felt better.

Wonderful wonderful reporting! Visit Click to view link and read the newsletters and see how childhood vaccines contain aborted DNA; that when the new MMR and chicken pox aborted DNA vaccines were released that there were two jumps in autism occurance, two separate jumps right when these came out. Also when these were released in africa autism showed up where it never existed before. Aborted DNA would have access to a child's cells like anminal DNA would not and this is most likely the cause of the mutations we see in autism. WHY ISN'T IT DISCLOSED! Why don't parents know aborted DNA is in thier children's shots??? CDC??? Lastly CDC is concerned about impact of aborted DNA but has never tested it. How can someon release this questionable material into kids bodies without testing the impact??? And of course abortions themselves are wrong... This opens up some sort of sick source for medicine... Morality in medicine is dead and so too will the industry go... We cannot trust them anymore!
