Hillary's Meme Falls Apart

Hillary Clinton

Clinton Shouts: 'What Difference ... Does It Make?' ... Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked about ascertaining whether the Benghazi terror attack was the result of a protest by Senator Ron Johnson. "What difference, at this point, does it make?" Clinton shouted, seemingly losing her cool. "With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans. Was it because of a protest or was it because of guys out for a walk one night decided to go kill some Americans? What difference, at this point, does it make?" – Weekly Standard

Dominant Social Theme: Can't we all get along ... and just move on?

Free-Market Analysis: Hillary Clinton testified before the US Congress yesterday and suggested, as Bill Clinton used to do, that legislators just "move on."

Ms. Clinton's urgency in this regard may not only be because she wants to remove the focus of the investigation from how an American diplomat died but also because the entire episode seems to have been a botched propaganda campaign.

No one is pointing this out, of course, not these days. But we recall quite clearly that the initial story reported by the US media was that the people of Libya were incensed about a movie, "Desert Warrior," AKA "The Innocence of Muslims."

From what we can tell, the movie was yet another US Intel-instigated false flag. The idea was to show the American people once again how bestial and brutal Middle Easterners can be. The proximate cause was this movie; the point to be made was that certain Libyans (pro-Gaddafi ones) would riot over a poorly made film.

But something went wrong. In our humble view, it was the alternative media that made the false flag impossible to pursue. When the back story was revealed, it became obvious that this cinematic enterprise was not what it seemed. At the time, we wrote the following, here

***

We are supposed to believe that the sudden religious blaze in the Middle East that just took the life of a US ambassador and three of his staff members was the result of an obscure movie.

This movie was so unknown that it could hardly generate views on YouTube. Then a strange preacher, Terry Jones, began to promote the movie and brought it to the world's attention. Here's Wikipedia on Jones:

Terry Jones (born October 1951) is the pastor of Dove World Outreach Center, a small fundamentalist Christian church in Gainsville, Florida. He first gained national and international attention in 2010 for his plan to burn Qur'ans, the scripture of the Islamic religion, on the tenth anniversary of the September 11 attacks. He is a self-declared independent presidential candidate in the 2012 U.S. Presidential election.

Jones sounds like a big shot but his total congregation is reportedly 50 ... fifty!

As for the man who produced the movie that has set the Mideast aflame, he was said initially to be a Jew and claimed that the movie was funded by "100 Jews."

This is perhaps the way the elites and their allies work. They want the Jews blamed first and foremost. The alternative media for its own reasons too often plays into the hands of this premeditated meme.

In any case, the filmmaker, self-identified as an Israeli-American property developer, Sam Bacile, has a spokesperson, a friend. Reuters reports this friend is Steven Klein, "a southern California man in the insurance business ... [who] described himself as a consultant and a spokesman for the project – but not the filmmaker." Klein believes Bacile's name is a pseudonym.

"I've met him twice, I don't know what country he's from. I do know he's not an Israeli Jew and I can only guess he threw that out to protect his family, which I do know is back in the Middle East," Klein told Reuters in an interview in front of his home in Hemet, California, as he sipped a beer.

And who is Klein? He is a former US Marine who said he advised the filmmaker to go into hiding. Regardless of whether Bacile hides or not, his identity is being revealed.

***

As a result of such exposure, the false flag was dropped and Ms. Clinton was left to explain the incident without revealing the black-op background. No wonder she just wanted to "move on" and thus recast the incident in personal terms to polarize it.

"For me, this is not just a matter of policy, it's personal," said Clinton, holding back tears. "I stood next to President Obama as the Marines carried those flag-draped caskets off the plane at Andrews. I put my arms around the mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, sons and daughters. It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to lead the men and women of the State Department and USAID. Nearly 70,000 serving here in Washington and at more than 275 posts around the world. They get up and go to work every day -- often in difficult and dangerous circumstances thousands of miles from home -- because they believe as we believe the United States is the most extraordinary force for peace and progress the earth has ever known."

Ms. Clinton is learning once again (and to her credit she knows exactly what is going on) that the Internet is a formidable adversary. What we call the Internet Reformation is making it harder and harder for US Intel agencies to promote the kind of directed history that was so effective in the 20th century.

This botched promotion brings to mind a previous CIA disaster involving the so-called "Syrian Girl." We wrote about it over a year ago in an editorial entitled "Gay Ops of American Intel." You can read about that here

A strange thing happened the other day. The blogosphere was swept by the confession of one Tom MacMasters that he was behind a well-known blog supposedly written by a lesbian and called Gay Girl in Damascus. It was convincing for the most part, and he even stole a picture online to identify his blog – which was apparently how he was discovered. His confession was wrenching and the blogosphere (which trends liberal these days) has been virtually convulsed ever since.

On the heels of the MacMasters' incident, another blogger "Paula Brooks," was revealed to be a man, Bill Graber. He had posted some of MacMasters' lesbian musings on HIS lesbian news site. According to the Washington Post, Graber was a 58-year-old retired US air force officer. Graber identified himself as such when called by the Associated Press.

"LezGetReal was not meant to be deceitful or con anyone," he is reported to have said. Apparently he didn't comment on the coincidence of two men secretly operating two separate lesbian blogs, making coincidental contact with each other via email and then, quite by chance, supporting each others' compositional efforts. Graber admittedly helped MacMasters develop his Internet presence.

Here is a possible truth: The Gay Girl in Damascus blog and LezGetReal are part of a sub dominant theme being purveyed by American intelligence agencies that are trying to undermine regimes in both Syria and Libya. The MO would also seem plausible as such Intel teams work in tandem (MacMasters and Graber), with one presenting the meme and the other one endorsing it. This can be seen on many libertarian (freedom-oriented) websites as well, where one will attack and the other endorse.

Already the usual suspects (Reuters, Washington Post and Slate) are producing articles comparing the MacMasters hoax with other hoaxers who "thought faking reports about a perceived truth was a valid form of advocacy." The Reuters article carefully points out that the fraud had gone on for five years though the blog site was only five months old.

How Reuters can establish the five-year mark is a mystery – and is more in line with corroborating MacMasters' potential cover story than debunking him. It is also surprising that such savvy news enterprises don't even mention the possibility that these two men had links to American Intel.

The five month timeline for MacMasters' blog is probably a good deal more accurate than five years and conforms to how intelligence promotions unfold, with a thin back-story measured in months not years. It also conforms almost exactly to the current agitation for regime change in Syria. Graber's website seems to be down now, but a look at the cached version reveals that it has been in existence for three years. He says he was motivated by anger at "don't ask, don't tell."

Of course, it is always possible that all of the above is entirely coincidental. Two straight, white men, one with links to the US military, decide separately to set up their own lesbian blogs. They then met each other via email, though neither knows the other is a man and one, Graber, decides to promote the blog-stories of the other (MacMasters). Stranger things have happened, yes? As Slate informs us. "Sexual disguise is as old as humanity, and posing as a lesbian is merely a natural variant on the practice. It energizes writers as often as it does readers."

The US mainstream press never found the above coincidences worth elaborating on. Thousands of articles were written about the dangers of "adopting another voice" – as if the issue were an artistic one rather than, most likely, an Intel operation gone bad. Strangely, the US lesbian community, so quick to jump on perceived slights, never has had much to say about a very strange set of coincidences ....

Oh, well ...

It's getting harder and harder to pull off these kinds of manipulations, in our view. They'll either have to make them more sophisticated or shut down the Internet. The latter is unlikely and the former is probably unfeasible. So they are stuck.

Conclusion: Ms. Clinton apparently got hurt before testifying. Based on yesterday's performance, we quite understand what was at stake and why bed-rest was a preferable option.

Ah, the Internet Reformation in full swing ...

"Syria's Muslim Brotherhood Propped Up by US Since 2007 Under Bush ... In 2007, the Wall Street Journal published an article titled, "To Check Syria, U.S. Explores Bond With Muslim Brothers." And even then, it was noted that the Brotherhood held close links with groups the US recognizes and lists as terrorist organizations, including Hamas and Al Qaeda.

The report gives a disturbing foreshadowing of US support that would eventually see the Muslim Brotherhood rise as both a political and terroristic power across the Arab World, after decades of hard-fought attempts to crush the sectarian extremist organization everywhere from Tunisia to Syria, from Egypt to Libya, to Jordan, and beyond. In fact, the 2007 Wall Street Journal article specifically noted that the US partnership could "destabilize governments in Jordan and Egypt, two US allies where the Brotherhood is a growing opposition force."

@DB

We have "The Innocence of Muslims." and we have the so called "Syrian Girl". Both debunked by DB and rightly so.

We also have an attack on a CIA station and the assassination of a US ambassador. You are saying (I think)that since the Administration tried to link the assassination to "The Innocence of Muslims" that the Administration must also be responsible for the killing of the ambassador.

I would not put it past Obama to kill his own ambassador. But I am suggesting that the attack was carried out by persons in sympathy with King Assad and caught the Empire by surprise. Rather than admit their own incompetence and not wanting to reveal that the dead ambassador was involved in arms shipments to mercenaries in Syria, it was decided to use the ridiculous movie to expain it all away. And yes - the internet foiled their cover up.

If Rush Limbaugh beleives that the ambassador was murdered by Obama I can understand why he is so angry. I confess I never realy listened to him.

I won't insist on my conspiricy theory over your's. Please keep up the good work.

Hello all,

While I've never been one to defend either of the Clintons (the Thenardier and Thenardiess of Empire politics), I have no doubt that the Secretarys' efforts to avoid questioning on the debacle generally referred to as "Benghazi" were undertaken not to save her own skin, but rather to shield certain of her superiors (individual and organizational) from unsolicited scrutiny.

It's well to recall that in the year 2009 our Dear Leader, Barack Obama, issued an obiter dictum (aka 'executive order') that specifically forbade the Central Intelligence Agency from engaging in the practice of torture on behalf of its Pentagon masters.

Of course, it goes without saying that this Presidential pronunciamento, wasn't worth the foolscap that it was scribbled on, given that the government lacked both the means and -- more importantly -- the intent to enforce its stipulations. (Along similar lines, it is interesting to note that one of Mr. Obama's predecessors -- a Medieval Monarch whose name at present escapes me -- once issued a court summons to a swarm of bees. It is unlikely that either President or King dispensed their respective proclamations with any expectation of compliance.)

But were we to admit that which is obvious, we would find ourselves compelled to acknowledge that which is no less apparent, i.e., that the 'civilian' institutions of government are papier mache illusions, a reality that is manifestly unpalatable to the American mainstream media, and to a substantial plurality of the public, including the soi-disant "alternative" media. Best that we not go there.

In the interest of probity, it should be acknowledged that the dearly departed 'Ambassador' a gentleman who just prior to his investiture had, in his capacity as arms merchant and CIA operative, gladly participated in the recent and violent overthrow of the government of the formerly sovereign Libyan nation. In fact the Ambassador's uncurbed enthusiasms (which mirrored those of his employer - no more, no less) led him to oversee yet another American sponsored torture chamber of the sort referred to in polite conversation as a 'safe house' or 'special mission.'

To summarize then, one can hardly blame Mrs.Clinton's reluctance to acknowledge that:

A) her putative superior, Barack Obama, had forbidden the CIA from engaging in the practice of torture and that the Agency (Surprise, surprise!) had ignored the Presidential ruling, as this admission might imply that the President is a meaningless mannequin;

B) the nominal 'Ambassador,' Mr.Stevens was a secretive figure with a criminal past - why that might serve to cast aspersions on the Department of State;

C) the State Department is now little more than an adjunct of the Department of Defense; and

D) the actions of so-called 'terrorists' were defensive in nature (they wanted us the Hell out of their country) and, therefore, eminently justifiable - along the lines of sic semper tyrannus.

Ah, the fricative sibilance of cognitive dissonance…

Cheers,

JQP

"The State Department is now little more than an adjunct of the Department of Defense."

This is obvious now.

A CIA station was overrun and an American Ambassador was killed. I have seen no evidence this was a false flag attack. The administration tried and failed to spin this in a way that deflects from their incompetence and further justifies the criminal GWOT. Since then the Republicans have magnified the significance of these events for political advantage. Not much of a story realy.

"I have seen no evidence this was a false flag attack."

Maybe you are looking the other way?

Mrs. Clinton gave her answer to all her critics when she told them it was preferable to "move on". That one phrase told them all who was in charge the nght of the Banghazi assault on the USA. George Soros is a very good friend to the Clintons and his "Move ON" movement controls just what the Clintons need to keep their positions,THEN, NOW AND THE FUTURE.

That brief comment from Hillary had a chilling effect on the quesioners. Those who were asking questions during her "ordeal" did not elucidate anything. Rand Paul made the most sense when he said had he been presidemt, she would have been asked to resign. The rest just sat like controlled puppets.

The confrontation was interesting and might have a good result. Perhaps 1216 will see a match up between Hillary and Rand!

It appears that you were right, the ruling elites are creating a new enemy to have perpetual war with. As George Orwell in his book 1984 explianed wars are necessary:

As for wars, Emmanuel Goldstein described their function quite well. 'Even when weapons of war are not actually destroyed, their manufacture is still a convenient way of expending labor power without producing anything that can be consumed.' War is a way of 'shattering to pieces, or pouring
into the stratosphere, or sinking in the depths of the sea,' excess output and capital.

Wars help to keep the people distracted, fearful, divided an d worried. Muslims in London are also trying to impose their laws on London... .see

I am pretty sure these Muslim vigilantes are working for some secret agency.

Posted by nailheadtom on 01/24/13 11:05 AM

What a pile of worms! If BHO wants to claim credit for pushing the button that blew up Osama bin Laden, doesn't he have to accept the blame for the Benghazi affair as well? And what's the Benghazi affair about anyway? Since when are ambassadors skulking about at night like characters in a Graham Greene novel?

Of course the lives of the casualties are meaningless except in their embarrassment potential to two of the least qualified leaders in US history. Nobody, especially in government, really cares any more about the four than they do about the deaths of anonymous car crash victims, which is as it should be. They are useful in that their deaths can be used to fire further jingoistic fervor based on a reaction to some national insult, allowing the military to justify raining munitions from drones on people in their own yards. The deal works both ways, too, giving the jihadis proof positive that the great Satan is prowling the land. Everybody's happy.

CIA Agent Exposes How Al-Qaeda Dosen't Exist

Al Qaeda Never Existed

An excerpt from the documentary, "The Power of Nightmares" Robin Cook, a former British MP and Minister of Foreign Affairs wrote that Al-Qaeda, 'literally 'the database', was originally the computer file of the thousands of mujahideen who were recruited and trained with help from the CIA to defeat the Russians.' Thus, 'Al-Qaeda' was born as an instrument of western intelligence agencies. The creation of Al-Qaeda was facilitated by the CIA and allied intelligence networks, the purpose of which was to maintain this 'database' of Mujahideen to be used as intelligence assets to achieve US foreign policy objectives, throughout both the Cold War, and into the post-Cold War era of the 'new world order'.

Further, see Obama's apology before the ruse was revealed. It was a false flag attack on the first amendment. Just as with fast & furious, lives wasted are simply propaganda fuel for more tyranny. And that's why every step back has to be all about some tangential issue. The focus cannot be allowed to show how they deliberately set people up to be killed, wait for it to happen, then pull the ready - made campaign out of a drawer and begin the promotion.

Reply from The Daily Bell

OK, good points. But the justification was still to be provided by agitated Arabs. And when the meme was exposed the thematic falsehood was exposed as well. Arabs were NOT upset by this obscure film. The whole gambit fell apart ...

My impression from the beginning was that the video false flag was equally intended to target 'too much freedom on the internet'. That's where the Mindless Media focus was, at least.

Reply from The Daily Bell

Hm-mm ... even were this the case, the REASON for the criticism would have to be stated as the "unrest" caused by the film in the Middle East ...

Too bad she didn't get any beauty sleep.

The whole intel community could use some "bed-rest" but the more they collaborate, it seems the less cover they have thanks to the debunkers on the internet, without which, it wouldn't be much of a reformation. Thanks DB!
