Freedom Force International

Freedom Force International is a libertarian organizational movement founded by former actor and director G. Edward Griffin. Griffin, now in his eighties, began his career as a child actor and developed his craft later in life as a director, advancing in the post-conventional segment of his career to presentation of political video documentaries. His directional documentary focus has been on individual libertarianism and providing an informational education for those who have been confused by collective politics.

Freedom Force International is a privately funded organization that promotes right-wing libertarianism and generally revolves around the political dispositions of Griffin. Griffin has been a documented adversary of the Federal Reserve System and fractional banking. The organization is clearly oppositional to excessive governmental power and advances concepts of individual power within the predisposed ideas of individualism.

Freedom Force International is effectively an internet grassroots group initiated in 2002 by Griffin that has amassed many followers since that inception. The organization endorsed Ron Paul for United States President in 2008, based on the campaign position of the Republican Party candidate. Paul has been an on again/off again Libertarian platform Republican Congressional representative from Texas for the past twenty-plus years. Representative Paul is also a staunch proponent of eliminating the Federal Reserve Bank and restoring the United States currency to a gold-based exchange.

Freedom Force International advocates a return in the United States to a system that advances causes that empower the individual and decentralize macro-governmental oversight. With the operational motto, "Why fight city hall when you can BE city hall," Freedom Force International is currently on a drive to encourage members to run for local offices across the United States.

The organization, headquartered in Southern California, operates an informational website which serves as the store front for the various books and publications on issues of focus by the international group. Critics of the organization claim that the motive behind the group may be profit before information. All publications offered on the organization website address proposed topics of concern for the group, which include globalism, collectivism, hidden information, conspiracy themes and natural health.

Official members of the group espouse "The Creed of Freedom," which states that individual rights are intrinsic and the individual is supreme over all collective bodies. The freedom of choice gives all individuals the "right" to act voluntarily and any law that requires an individual to act in a specific manner is coercion. Freedom Force International, which calls itself "a global brotherhood of the most enlightened and dedicated people in the world," promotes the idea that all individuals are equal under the law, whether natural or man-made, and that the role of government should be limited.

All members (the website states there are thousands among this group of quality leaders) are required to ascribe to the principle that "the government that governs best governs least" and that governments should be negative, or non-invasive, and defensive, or non-aggressive.
