Irish Bulldog Vincent Browne Pounds EU's Klaus Masuch Over the Irish Bank Bailout

By Staff Report

Last Thursday in Dublin, Vincent Browne was like a dog with a bone at the ECB/EU/IMF Troika Press Conference. He put a question to the ECB's Klaus Masuch - a question that he refused to answer despite Vincent's persistence. So now is your chance to get that important question answered, and to facilitate this we have an email ready to send to Klaus below. All you have to do is enter your email address and the email as you see it will arrive in his inbox from you directly. – FM.com

Dominant Social Theme: The Irish, who are paying billions, are incredibly intelligent in the view of the EU.

Free-Market Analysis: The British have Nigel Farage (an independent-minded politician) and the Irish apparently have Vincent Browne, a more-than-independent-minded reporter.

In this YouTube clip we can watch Browne absolutely blow apart the arguments of EU and ECB banking representatives regarding the responsibility of the Irish to pay billions and billions to make European banks solvent for their poor investments in Irish real estate. It's a kind of tour-de-force.

Anyone who has appeared on media knows how tough it is to think and act calmly under the gaze of television cameras. Browne is not only a real pro; he's quick to respond to buttress his argument and never loses the thread of his rhetoric.

What's most startling about the thrust of Browne's questioning is its adult nature. The US press, for instance, is often apt to ask President Barack Obama where he is traveling or what he's had for lunch. Browne's questioning – in this case and in many other interviews – is aimed at the jugular of the current imbalance of global power.

The implication is that the EU itself is a corrupt and repressive organization and that the Irish are being unfairly treated. In fact, it's more than an implication. At one point, Browne actually comes out and accuses the hapless trio of participating in the degradation and financial ruin of irish society. Masuch has no response. The woman to his right simply wants to "move on."

One of the dominant social themes that the Anglosphere power elite has been the most successful with is the idea that people have generic culpability based on where they are born or the culture in which they've been raised.

Germans have been relentlessly pounded to accept "national guilt" for World War II even though there is a good deal of evidence that Anglosphere banks helped fund pre-war Germany and may even have funded the German industrial effort throughout the war.

In Europe today, the power-elite promotion of "national responsibility" is in full cry. This is one of the reasons the elites hate the Austrian economic philosophy, with its emphasis on individual human action. A large chunk of the moral suasion applied to people via elite memes is based on the idea of group guilt.

The Irish – and other European countries as well – are being pressed to "accept" culpability for their "nation's" wayward, spendthrift activities. Southern Europe, we are taught, is constitutionally irresponsible when it comes to money.

Of course, this is nonsense. There may be lots of factors that explain what's going on in Europe today, but being born in a certain place probably isn't one of them. In fact, we've explained that we think the austerity measures taking place in Europe are a kind of set-up.

The idea of austerity is to get Europe primed to accept a fully federal system, in our view. It's a malicious, authoritarian system of tax hikes and service cuts aimed at the people who can least afford them. It's basically the system that the IMF perfected in all its blood and agony in the developing world, and now it's being implemented in the "first" world.

We've also tried to explain in the past how the Anglosphere elites that control central banks and seek one-world government are, in fact, behind the movement for a federalized Europe. The mechanism actually seems to us very simple.

In order to tempt countries to join the EU, the Eurocrats came up with the idea of giving governments money to ensure that the debts would be paid off and the public purse rationalized. This was nothing but a kind of bribe, however.

The top pols in these Southern European countries paid off their cronies, banked or invested the money and left power. But before they did, they did everything they could to ensure their countries "voted" to join the EU.

Having bribed the European (Southern) elites and garnered their cooperation, the next stage of the plan was initiated. The PIGS (especially) were suddenly seen to be bankrupt and unable to pay back their "bills." The citizens were then positioned to take responsibility – as the European banking system was "at risk" if they did not.

Browne doesn't spell all this out in his questioning but he sure implies a lot of it. Someday the full story about how the Anglosphere elites maneuvered behind the scenes to stick up the EU (even creating an apparently false schism between Britain and the Continent) will be told. Until then, confrontations like this one between Browne and Masuch will have to do. And they'll do pretty well!

Browne is a courageous man. See the video here.

Yo,

"The Irish are too damn smart to put up with these criminals". Ho, ho, ho.

The Irish first INVITED Strongbow to come over & fight on the side of a feuding tribal leader. That's how the Normans came to Ireland. The ONLY English pope gave Ireland to the English & for the next 800 years the Irish fought the English. Then the Irish joined the Common Market & were INVADED by 150 other nationalities, who took all their jobs. Now the Irish are immigrating again to FIND WORK.

NOW THAT'S WHAT I CALL AN IRISH JOKE!

Oh, Yeah! The Irish remained faithful to the Roman Catholic cult that screwed them!

The Irish are too damn smart to put up with these criminals for much longer. Follow Iceland and just tell them to go to hell in the nicest possible way. Slap it back in their crooked face and the sooner the better.

As a staunchly proud Irish man who lives overseas, I have been dismayed at the genereal lack of authentic, rebellious interrogation of the people who run the banks and the governments. I was raised to think that we were a nation who valued the common man, freedom of rights and the right to fight oppression.

The general population is more concerned with their own immediate welfare than to try to understand the bigger picture. It is a testament to the mass of social themes which are pervasive in all facets of Irish life, that our people are so broken, uninterested and weak.

If the Elites can turn the IMF onto my homeland without as much as a whisper of rejection then the road is loang and hard ahead. If the Elites can convince the Irish people that there is a war against terror and that we should allow US troops to use our Airports for refueling, then the road gets longer. If the Elites can convince government after government to make decisions based not for the good of it's people, but for the good of overseas investors, then indeed the road is long ahead.

Vincent Brown is one of the few who think outside the box. I would love you guys to speak to another prominent Economist David Mc WIlliams http://www.davidmcwilliams.ie/ who is a leading voice for autonomous thought, but in my opinion still fails to grasp the machinations of the machine around him.

You would be doing the Irish people a great service to help them understand that this current economic crisis was controlled, premeditated and no fault of the day to day man or woman. They need to know that their governments can do something to change. They need some hope.

This relates to Greece but is not Ireland. It may affect Ireland.
Papandreou said that Greek would NOT give islands or monuments as collateral.

But, Papandreou is out and Papademos is in. He's a bankster and can't be expected to do right by Greece.
Here is a quote from Zero hedge;
"The IMF may get paid back, but Greece will say goodbye to half its islands and historical monuments in the fire-sale that precedes."

The attitude of the banking community is that taxpayers are OBLIGATED for the gambling debts of bankers. The Irish may not want to give up half of the Emerald Isle to the bankers. Imagine the protestants and the Catholics all singing together.

why doesn't Greece and Ireland take a lesson from Iceland and just say "sorry"... Iceland we are told are recovering nicely. There have been some political and finance adjustments too in the country to make sure the banksters don't gamble their economy away in the future.

I suspect that this will eventually happen as more countries are put under the yolk of the IMF and European bank. They will just look at the situation and say this is no way to the future, we could never ever extricate ourselves form this debt by the total destruction of our economy so why suffer. Lets get the hell out of this EU ... . who are these people??... . and never go back. No country should ever give up it's sovereignty.

Thank God for men such as this, the cutting edge of the word.

The Irish need to recognize that you cannot play nice, nice when you are dealing with fascist criminals who have basically stolen the Irish sovereignty, are now in total control with the Irish people merely slaves and serfs to elite psychopaths.

The polite people of ireland are just waiting until, it's 45 billion euro's default is seen as a drop in the ocean compared to other piigs, which will not be too long. ireland is not going to pay the bank debt. get over it all of ye, including vincent brown.

Why didn't vincent browne tell the ecb to just swallow it. then ireland will pay the rest of its government debt, and can grow it's way out or it's problems. we have a positive trade balance. besides, who doesn't love the irish. the queen of england and most of the usa do. god Click to view linkddy

Browne seems to be doing more than a number of other Irish journos ...

The banksters continue to rip off the public. At least some in the mass media are trying to expose it. Too bad there is so much silence and coverup going on still.
