Review: 'The Poison Plum'
While I enjoyed Jesse Ventura's article about Plum Island, "Government's Island of Horror," published over the weekend on Lewrockwell.com, I know from a close friend that Jesse only covered part of the treachery and conspiracy that is the Plum Island cover-up regarding Lyme disease.
My friend Les Roberts wrote The Poison Plum back in 2007 after partially recovering from a ten-year battle with Lyme disease, determined to tell the truth about the disease and what he had discovered in research. He wrote the book in novel form because the truth and potential liabilities as he saw them were so dangerous and threatening to the government, big pharma and the medical establishment that he dared not write the book as a factual expose.
The book isn't about what could happen in America but rather what is happening in our nation today. The Poison Plum's heroine is Susan Collins, who is trying to save her son from dying of a special form of deadly Lyme disease, which started in Lyme, CT, just across from the government laboratories at Plum Island Animal Disease Center. Shades of both 1984 and Atlas Shrugged are shown in this post-9/11 America are shown true to form with jackbooted government thugs raiding homes snd kidnapping physicians, and the horrors of trial without jury or due process and incarceration at secret prisons in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
The other hero is Congressman Harry McDonald, who appears as a modern-day Ron Paul with the courage, strength of character and beliefs in the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and individual liberty. Every libertarian, true conservative and constitutionalist should read The Poison Plum by Les Roberts.
In full disclosure, Les Roberts was a close friend and business associate more than 25 years ago and I remember when he got sick and we drifted apart. We talked several times over the period and he mentioned that if he survived the disease he would write a book about his experience and this is what he did.
There is nothing in this for me. This is for my old friend, Les, who was sick for so long, and for our children and grandchildren, that they might have the opportunity to enjoy the blessings of freedom and liberty in a free and just society.
If the premise of the book is correct, hundreds of billions in government liability are involved, the Center for Disease Control as well as the drug, insurance and government special interests that control the top echelons of the medical establishment.
This political and medical thriller had to be written as a novel instead of an indictment against government misdeeds, conspiracy and corruption because of the Patriot Act, our corrupt legal and judicial system, vengeful bureaucrats and powerful government interests that would commit any act of intimidation or violence to hide the mistakes which may have led to the unintentional release of engineered viruses from government Cold War research laboratories.
The novel begins in Alabama with the infamous Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment in which poor African-Americans were part of a federally sponsored syphilis study that allowed them to suffer the later stages of this disease without receiving the known treatment and cure possible from penicillin. Because they were part of this government research project, even their wives and unborn children were allowed to become infected all in the name of national security.
Read his novel; heed his warning both personally with your health and with renewed dedication to turning this nation around before it is too late.
Note that Les is not a writer by profession but rather spent his entire career before retirement in the gold business, where he wisely only provided low markup bullion instead of expensive numismatics to clients. He knew more about gold than any individual I've ever met. Also, since Les is now terminally ill with cancer, I would like to disclose to readers that he was the secret source of my original "No Gold At Fort Knox" editorial written for LRC back in October of 2010.
Also, my friend Les is not going out with a whimper. With almost 40 years experience in the gold business and a decade of illness during which he researched gold and Lyme disease, he hints at another manuscript set on the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Fed, tentatively named The Gold Quake Memorandum. It describes the secret history of gold, central banking and money from ancient times until today. From our discussions, readers will never look at gold, wars, politics, history or central banking the same ever again. I hope he finishes this for all of us.
It has been months since I talked to Les so I called him today. He told me today how many chronic Lyme disease sufferers are also finding a dramatic increase in cancer among themselves. The growing spread of Lyme through the US and now Canada may well be just the forerunner for a compromised immune system for millions, paving the way for a much higher incidence of cancer in our future.
There is talk of The Poison Plum being made into a movie and I hope this happens and that subsequently, the full blame and responsibility for this deadly disease falls where it should. In history, governments and politicians have seldom taken the blame for their actions because they and the elites they worked for controlled the press, educational facilities and history. Today with the Internet Reformation, their ability to be the gatekeepers for information and thereby to control public opinion is dying. I say this can't happen soon enough, and good riddance!

I can direct you to the (dutch) pieces where the graphs are contained
In this piece you can see the spread of Erythema migrans (the red spot after been bitten and infected with Borrelia parasite) in 3 graphs from 1994-2005
http://www.natuurkalender.nl/toepassingen/teken/ontwikkelingziekte.asp
On this site (educational about lyme disease) they have a graph from our CDC (Rijksinstituut voor Volksgezondheid en milieu) about halfway down. The graph is called 'gebieden met besmette teken' (area's with infected tics)
http://www.leslink.nl/De%20ziekte%20van%20Lyme/lyme.htm . THe period is also 1994-2005.
Hope this works better (smile)

I recommend this 2008 documentary:
Under Our Skin (2008) NR
In the 1970s, a mysterious and deadly illness began infecting children in a small town in Connecticut. Today it's a global epidemic. A real-life thriller, this shocking festival hit exposes the controversy surrounding chronic Lyme disease. Following the stories of individuals fighting for their lives, director Andy Abrahams Wilson reveals with beauty and horror a natural world out of balance and a human nature all too willing to put profits before patients.
Genre:
Documentaries, Science & Nature Documentaries
This movie is:
Controversial
Availability:
Streaming (DVD availability date unknown)

Hi Ron, please re-post the links, but perhaps shorten them using http://bit.ly - Thanks in advance.

I bet it did (smile). Still a shame, the graphs contained in the links were worthwhile since they concern the spread of tics and lyme desease in The Netherlands, Europe.

Thanks for the great article.
I met Les Roberts about 15 years ago. I can't say we had a close friendship, but I was treated to many of his gems of wisdom. I have known many very smart people, but Les may be the smartest of them all.
I haven't read the Poison Plum, but I have talked with Les at length about Lyme disease and how the information about it is being suppressed.
At Les's urging, I got tested for Lyme disease. My doctor did not want to test me, but when I insisted, he reluctantly agreed. When I received a copy of the report, the doctor had handwritten across it "Results negative!" The results showed positive for PB41. The boilerplate text for the results said that a positive of at least 5 bands was required for a "positive" diagnosis.
I was relieved, but when I told Les about it, he gave me an ironic grin. Then he reached into his desk drawer and pulled a paper out. His results were the same as mine. The PB41 result means that you have been exposed to the Lyme disease--and once you are exposed to it, you continue to carry it in your body. He explained it all to me, but I can't go into it here. It is a very complicated disease that can masquerade in many forms.
Doctors don't want to believe in it.
I can't write more right now, but wanted to go on record here as supporting the theory.

The deeper you go down the rabbit hole, the scarier it gets.
All because crime (force, fraud) has paid and integrated and now has greater than 50% of humanities resources dedicated to consolidating their "mastership" position and, dealing with "useless eaters" AND dissenters (If you're not with us, you're against us, in shrub speak).
Our "problem solvers" with a forceful monopoly position, realized long ago that "solved problems EQUALS their unemployment", thus, they create problems to appear "of use".
However, we are becoming intolerant of their ministrations and endless, implausible "s--t happens" excuses as to why they will not be what they are: OUR public servants and employees (judiciary included), acting in the interests of their employers (the productive), to be fired at a whim on non-performance.
My biggest terror in these times is biological weopons, such as this. They are indiscriminate and, will run their course once unleashed. Such a war, once initiated, cannot be stopped by costs informing reason: enough, cease.
Psychopaths are at the "helm" of the warships of state. Their "only" consideration is "their survival" and eliminating all obstacles therof (namely: us). Not much that can be done about that until the mass epiphany converges. You can, with a little bit of thought, navigate your personal ship of self through troubled waters until faced with woes not amenable to reason such as mortality, biological war or, nukes.
