What If Democracy Is Bunk?
What if you are only allowed to vote because it doesn't make a difference? What if no matter how you vote, the elites get to have it their way? What if "one person, one vote" is just a fiction created by the government to induce your compliance? What if democracy is dangerous to personal freedom? What if democracy erodes the people's understanding of natural rights and the foundations of government, and instead turns elections into beauty contests?
What if democracy allows the government to do anything it wants, as long as more people bother to show up at the voting booth to support it than to oppose it? What if the purpose of democracy is to convince people that they could prosper not through the creation of wealth but through theft from others? What if the only moral way to acquire wealth – aside from inheritance – is through voluntary economic activity? What if the government persuaded you that you could acquire wealth through political activity? What if economic activity included all the productive and peaceful things we do? What if political activity included all the parasitical and destructive things the government does?
What if governments were originally established to protect people's freedom, but always turn into political and imperialist enterprises that seek to expand their power, increase their territory and heighten their control of the population? What if the idea that we need a government to take care of us is actually a fiction? What if our strength as individuals and durability as a culture are contingent not on the strength of the government but on the amount of freedom we have from the government?
What if we're seeing civil unrest around the world precisely because government is out of control? What if the cocktail of big government and democracy brings dependence and destruction? What if big government destroys people's motivations and democracy convinces them that the only motivation they need is to vote and go along with whatever the government does?
What if the Republican primaries we're seeing unfold aren't actually as democratic as they may appear to be? What if the results you have seen from the states that have voted thus far don't match the composition of the delegates those states send to the Tampa convention this summer because the polls aren't what counts, but what counts are the secret meetings that come after the voting? What if Joe Stalin was right when he said the most powerful person in the world is the guy who counts the votes?
What if the greatest tyrant in history lives among us? What if that tyrant always gets its way, no matter what the laws are or what the Constitution says? What if that tyrant is the majority of voters? What if the tyranny of the majority in a democracy recognizes no limits on its power?
What if the government misinforms voters so as to justify anything the government wants to do? What if the government bribes people with the money it prints? What if it gives entitlements to the poor, tax breaks to the middle class and bailouts to the rich just to keep all of us dependent upon it? What if a vibrant republic requires not just the democratic process of voting, but also informed and engaged voters who understand first principles of limited government and free-market economics, and the divine origin of natural rights?
What if we could free ourselves from the yoke of big government through a campaign of education and information and personal courage that leads to a revolutionary return to first principles? What if the establishment doesn't want this? What if the government remains the same no matter who wins elections?
What if because of Ron Paul's presidential campaign, because he isn't campaigning just for votes as his competition is, because he is educating the population and winning the hearts and minds of a once free people and inspiring them to fight for their freedom once more, freedom wins? What if we can be free again? What will it take to make that happen?

What if nothing, Judge. That is the scam as it is and laid bare in its skulls and bones. And the light of unfolding undeniable truths destroys the parasites feasting at its vapid dream tables built on deceptions.

Great questions Judge! What if more ask those questions?
Posted by jg4liberty on 02/24/12 03:27 AM
What if people had more than a couple of brain cells to rub together so they knew what questions to ask? OK, I know that's so very cynical but it. What if most people actually do have more than a couple of brain cells to rub together and what if they just cared enough to search for and find the truth? We can only hope.

I have always thought that asking questions is more important than making statements and there is no other better at doing this than Judge Napolitano. These questions are perfect for any person willing to take time to think them through. These questions will lead to further investigation and this will lead to an opening of the eyes. Now all it requires is that people put aside their prejudice and programming and make an effort to see what the good Judge sees and I hope and pray, with every fibre of my existence, that they will do so. There is none more wonderous in my way of thinking than Judge Napolitano and it is regrettable that the prestitue media cannot, or rather will not, see that. Thank you, Judge Napolitano, for what you do and the way you do it.

Answers of course, at the speed of light thanks to Les Internettes.
Thanks Judge for the deed, (and appreciate your possible loss) and a wonderfully Lysander Spoonerismic series of 'been there, done that, have the t-shirt', "what ifs."
My tense is rather tense sorry.
Oops, I nearly forgot to mention the 'C' word "Consent" - just to keep the wheel of sustainability from falling over.
Medutainment methods mend mens minds.
Anyone here have a full box of consent?

I, too, agree about the Questions.
What surprises me is, there are so many others who support Ron Paul.
I think Mark Levin is way off base, with his rhetoric about Click to view linkul.
But back to the Q's. The whole scenario of if's are in place, they are here now. I don't think America can have a "Free & Honest Election". There are too many people "For Sale" in this country, namely the Unions/gov't employees!
I, truely believe, we should insist on the paper ballot! Preventing illegals/dead people from voting.

If I were THEM, I woulda fired you too. They have LOST and you were just putting salt in THEIR wounds, a predictable outcome the instant (century+ ago) the judiciary and the legal "profession" falsely concluded that their primary job of "predator control" in civilization requires them to be "master predator", as opposed to honestly, imparitally and objectively administering the "rule of law":
what fools. There are three powers in current hierarchical social / economic organization: The legislative, the executive (alleged public servants) locked into a mutually profitable symbiotic relationship preying on "we, the people" and the real source of everything including power, "we, the people", the final and only line of defense against tyranny. Our collective survival demands self-defensively, personally and collectively dealing with predators, since the "law" has dropped the ball of civilization and joined the dark side.
Very good enumerated collection of "what if's", which are better stated as a collection of fraudulent, forcefully imposed "is's", the pretexts by which we are enlsaved and manipulated to believe there are no other choices (Machiavailli, faux neccessity, false assertation of "proof of a negative").
Well, when THEY state "obey oe ELSE", THEY really mean do a very specific thing. "Non-Obey" is the infinity of alternate choices and "or else" is a bluff, only actionable against individuals and smaller groups, the basic modus operandi of bullies, who lose once they piss off a significant number of "victims" causing unity of defensive cause, common interest blowback.
There are always other CHOICES:

and, of course, when "what if" proves to be "is", we have reality, a state of affairs and, actions within reality. Given this, the reality based constituency should be very concerned and ask, "What are the consequences, where does it lead"?:

... leading to the crucial question, asked by all, but admitted by few: How can I survive, what should I do, in pursuit of MY self-interest. That too is a choice:

keep up the good work, Judge. By being fired, you were evicted from the losing side, a good thing for you, in the long run.

... just a pawn sacrifice. Watch the rooks, go for the juggulars of the king and queen, then the rest of the pawns will fall in line.

Can't connect to the link, but amen on the entire rest of the post.
The paper ballots are 100% necessary, though not nearly enough, to ensure an honest count. Something that I am absolutely certain we will not get.
How any "adult" can think that electronic voting is a good idea is beyond me.

"a good idea is beyond me."
It's a matter of perspective, based on "qui bono". Clearly, the "state" is totally opposed to freedom for all but themselves and cronies (to prey). Ignorance has become so entenched that the illusion of "free elections" is plausible, even when criminals count, alter and influence the vote by the MSM "mighty wurlitzer" and political bribes, drowning out obvious reality by total information creation / control.
... and, along came the internet, a free enterprse adaptation to the opportunity (power vacuum) created by MSM no longer providing economic value by providing impartial truth.

Wow. I don't watch TV anymore, so I'm only familiar with the Judge from second-hand sources.
Well said, sir.
"What will it take to make that happen?"
Peaceful parenting. Withdraw consent. Cheat on your taxes. Use the black market. Use private currencies. Use passive aggression and civil disobedience. Shun those that still condone violence. Build a self-supporting network of like-minded individuals. Take steps to leave state employment. Stay out of site / out of the way / out of jail.

LOL!! Yeah, what IF?
What if voting for someone to rule you means you are ruled?
Posted by Optout on 02/24/12 09:31 AM
So true NAPpy. The 'revolution' has to come from the local level. And withdrawing from the system is the first step. Education and historical perspective will be the primer for this action.
I also think that statement about leaving state employment is a big one. Those involved with that work have to realize that they are the enforcement for the system.

"I don't watch TV anymore"
you should, just don't pay for it. Their lies provide an obvious, amusing and early "heads up" regarding what THEY want you to believe / choose. Armed with this extremely valuable knowledge, you can chart an alternate course, and "be prepared".
What else do you think DB does? They chart the lies / manipulations and re-frame matters through the lens of objective / provable reality. They watch MSM and, increasingly, the internet as our slavers attempt to catch up to a significant threat they did not anticipate by inserting disinfo to disrupt truthseeking.
It is my hope (and main reason I post) that DB and others of the "reality based constituency" will form a new "center that CAN hold", sucking the power and supporters of "intellectual and moral high ground" from those who falsely claim it, the "center that cannot hold", for the simple reason that they do not and cannot have enough fingers to plug their dike of lies from the unstoppable erosive forces of truth and freedom. THEY know they cannot win and, have lost, but, they fulilely and tenaceously persist, buying time, because THEY KNOW that ultimately, justice will prevail:
Justice Defined: We are all free to profit or suffer and learn (adapt to excellence) by facing the consequences of our OWN choices. Injustice is to be forced to suffer the consequences of choices of unaccountable (irresponsible) others..
"The danger is not that a particular class is unfit to govern. Every class is unfit to govern. The law of liberty tends to abolish the reign of race over race, of faith over faith, of class over class." ~ Lord Acton

Just did a fast search on the Canton Movement. Sounds like it's what we, collectively, should be considering. Appears to be highly humane as differentiated from the force and coercive system into which we are born.

The judge should just state facts instead of trying to be creative by asking questions when he know the answers.
The republication canadates are obviously chosen to lose the race, expect for Paul they are all blatant hipicrical liers.

I find it sadly hilarious that I can track the whereabouts of the last book I ordered at Amazon, but not my VOTE... it would seem to be sooo easy to make this transparent, it's called a trackable receipt.
Maybe I'm just too simplistic... and I'm sure the more tech savvy here will school me if so.
