Riding the Tides and Suggesting Solutions Here at the Daily Bell

By Anthony Wile

Anthony Wile

Like most people, I have lived my life swimming through tides of confusion, tides often created by others who desire to control us for their own desired purposes. I have, for whatever reason, a burning desire to "know" the world around me.

It has led me to visit dozens of countries on every continent in the world and to do business in many. And always to ask questions ... many questions ... of those with whom I interact on my journey through this "life maze" of ours.

I first confronted this desire directly while sitting on a beach on Little Palm Island Resort. I remember telling this story to the late, great, libertarian Harry Browne – a mentor and dear friend who participated in my first free-market publishing venture.

I told him how I suddenly felt the need for a pen and paper, yet I had not written anything in years – since business school, to be exact.

I had no idea what was propelling me to desire that pen and paper. After all, the sun was shining on the private beach I was on with my wife and everything was so serene and relaxing. Why would anyone want pen and paper? Especially someone who doesn't or didn't write?

Still to this day I do not know the answer. But what I do know is this. When the pen and paper were in my hands I wrote 11 pages without raising my head or even thinking, for that matter.

The whole experience was very surreal. I ended up writing what became the blueprint for FMNN and The Daily Bell and several books, some ghost-written and some under my own name.

Whatever it was that spawned that moment, it has never subsided. In fact, the understanding of the way the world works and the clarity of vision I have developed on a macro level is clear. Not always comfortable, I will admit.

But with this understanding I have been able to live and work and travel in many countries around the world and do so with "eyes wide open." I have little time for the trivia ...

One thing I have learned throughout this journey, and as a 43-year-old man with a wife and kids, is that there is still much to learn. Many things to uncover and many opportunities that lie hidden beneath the surface of countries and places most people may have read about but rarely visited.

These days, I fall into the camp of believing anything is possible – regardless of birthright circumstances. And throughout my life, perhaps despite the acceptance of the world around us, I have fought to enjoy whatever life's offerings brought.

And believe me, I learned early on what life's offerings can bring ... both good and bad.

See, there was an earlier period in my life when I believed that the world was a "fair" place. It is not. I get quite annoyed at my children when they suggest to each other in friendly squabbles that life isn't fair or this or that isn't fair.

My response is... LIFE IS NOT FAIR!

Get used to that.

I learned the hard way by stepping on the toes of "the banksters" in pursuit of opportunities I felt deserved rightfully to be pursued. I learned rather quickly they yield power beyond their collective checkbooks and that the power was enough to bring the full weight of the state to bear upon anyone who dared compete with their interests.

After a seven-year long battle with mounting legal bills, I was able to come to a "draw" and declare "no fault and no wrongdoing" and pay a US$35,000 fine, along with accepting some time-limited bans.

All this after spending more than US$1 million to defend my innocence and watching the very "smear bandits" that manipulated my accusation end up walking off with assets worth some 100 million!

Good things come from bad. Out of the lessons I learned, I launched Free-Market News Network (FMNN) with a group of willing colleagues.

We all believed in the mission then and today, having found out so much more about what we face, I have to say my determination to reveal how we're being manipulated, impoverished and slaughtered has only increased my desire to spread the word.

First FMNN and now the Daily Bell. An aggregate of up to a million visits a month or more. By sharing these global networks with likeminded people, I've had the privilege of learning and growing – thanks to each and every one of you.

Whether it is for financial preservation purposes, capital growth, or just general lifestyle ideas, I believe that I have a network of ongoing intelligence of likeminded relationships that can benefit all of us.

I will continue to support The Daily Bell and hope you will, too. It will continue to focus on identifying the elite control mechanisms that are designed to enslave our lives and enrich theirs.

But as we go forward, we'll increasingly emphasize solutions. Some will be obvious, some "pragmatic" and some entirely out-of-the-box. You may be surprised! The advisory service we're launching will focus on the solutions side of the equation.

The problem side will continue to be discussed and debated daily in the Daily Bell but it's my hope the global network of "free-market" thinkers we've assembled over this past decade will work together to add value to solutions discovered in these pages.

Over the next weeks and months we'll be announcing exciting opportunities for free-market thinkers ... for those generally who want to make a qualitative difference in their lives and the lives of their loved ones. If you want to join my inner circle of free-market thinkers built up over this past decade, you'll have the opportunity to do that.

The gift of security and financial awareness is the gift of freedom. As the world turns less free and more dangerous over the next decades, freedom will become your most precious legacy.

We've pioneered free-market publishing efforts with a decade-worth of highly successful websites. We've never sought publicity the way some in this business have. But we've had a significant impact and we can see it just in the terminology we've coined – terms such as "free-market thinking," "dominant social theme" and "Internet Reformation."

We've concentrated on being a thought leader, a publishing effort that influences culture from the top down by making predictive and thematic observations about the Way the World Works in the 21st century.

If you are one of the hundreds of thousands that turn to the Daily Bell every month, I think you'll find considerable merit in the solutions we'll be offering. Our increased focus on solutions is simply the other side of the analysis we offer now, and I promise you'll find it intriguing and likely rewarding as well.

Thankyou for sharing that Anthony.

I believe Human Beings are naturally drawn to the light of truth. Depending on ones aim and chosen trajectory in life, the heat generated by the light can either burn or uplift, if one would only spread their wings and let the natural updraft carry them to new heights. It does take effort. Truth does no harm. Truth alleviates the crippling fear that spawns and spreads in darkness.

You are very much appreciated.

Thankyou again.

I started reading the Daily Bell in 2009/2010 and it has been responsible for waking me up to how the world really works. The Daily Bell has helped turn me on to Ron Paul, Alex Jones and Jeff Berwick among others.

As a result of reading the Daily Bell I have read books by Henry Hazlitt, Thomas Woods, Frederick Hayek, Ludwig Von Mises and have re-read Orwell. It has helped to re-shape my former Obejctivist/Ayn Rand-ian beliefs, my personal philosophy as well as my investment strategies.

What is a greater power than my own or other's awakening is the viral effect it has on a reader's friends and family. Not all will be influenced or are open or interested in escaping "Dreamtime." The fact that some are is proof that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Thanks you, Daily Bell, for all that you do.

Thanks for what you do. Every bit helps ...

Greetings my fellow remnant! One knows the worm has turned when conventional media covers stories broken by alternative media. My local paper recently felt compelled to play Leviathan apologist on behalf of the Social Security Administration for its purchase of hollow point ammunition. And that's the way it is.

It is a larger and larger remnant!

As others have said here, I also appreciate the writings of the DB. But, just as important, I appreciate the return of the Feedback. Even though I and you do not always agree with what others believe and have to say, it is excellent to have those comments here, so one can draw their own conclusions. You just never know when someone might express a thought that turns on a light, one way or the other. Always good to have differing perspectives.

Thanks again!

Finally a chance to get to know the "Anthony" behind the Daily Bell. Although I seldom comment I must add my thanks to the others already who have stated what the DB has meant to them. Also I like the new solution oriented approach Anthony says this website will be moving toward.

I believe the last 12 months in the US and Europe have shown the fallacy that is political action in a political environment totally controlled by enemies of liberty and free-market thinking. Throwing valuable time and money into political action is a waste of time except for educational purposes because the system is totally corrupt and controlled by a few wealthy elites. The real political world we live in today is like a high school election where the promises are meaningless because the students have no say so or even impact on the administrators. it may make us feel better to vote, contribute or campaign but the outcome or direction of the school we are in or the country we live in will continue in the direction that most benefits the financial elites and the scumbag neocon elites and advisors.

Today to use the name of a popular but extreme website, "Prison Planet" all of us are prisoners of institutions that rule and decide the future of our lives and the worth of our savings from a few politicians vetted and allowed to participate and win beauty contests i.e. elections. There is zero real difference in both American parties or presidential candidates or in the major policies and actions they will take.

For my future and that of my family not sucked into the sheep like existence of the masses yet, I hope the Daily Bell and Tony Wile gives me some worthwhile non-self-serving solutions to live a better and more productive life and the opportunity to amass wealth, profits and liberty regardless of where the sheeple vote and waste their time in meaningless gestures and activities designed to hide their lack of choice and real captive status.

Interesting editorial. I think it is valuable to offer insights into how to deal with the various "problems" you discuss here. I look forward to reading your thoughts.

Thank you for all your work AW and the rest of the elves at The Bell as well.
I know you have contributed to the education of many, including myself.

I would go as far as to say the meeting has been life changing. I don't look at the world the same way or a better way to put it is, now I can see.

The daily bell is a part of my daily routine, I love it.

Your candidness is a refection of your character which is part of the free market character.

Free market people that I have met, many because of The Bell, look the world squarely in the face and say I will do right and insure I am done right by, I will not walk around being dictated to from other people whom believe they are from a privileged stock.

I see through the BS that is everywhere and have the tools to make choices based on what I know to be true.
I don't need a Queen or a President or the PE to guide my life.
I am free and free to chose.

These words are powerful and I truly thank you and everyone else who has been an influence on my education. The education that has allowed me to finally live free in unfree world.

Anthony a big thank you to you and your cohorts!!!! You have built the best intelligence gathering operation liberty has available to it! You all are always on my recommended list!

Wonderful news, Anthony! I'll eagerly await what's coming.

I've been tailoring my own life and work toward the "solution" side of the ledger, having reached my own consistent understanding of the "problem," as you have. Your new effort will be a welcomed addition.

I judge a website by the quality of its posts and the depth of its responses.

They don't get any better than The Bell.

Keep on truckin'.

Bartering and trading Obs, turning mulch into soil, growing your own food in said soil, kama'aina in your heart, owe no one outside family, speak no lies, keep eyes and ears open at all times, live peacefully with your neighbors.
Staying home and hunkering down, keeping family close and aware.

As Mark Twain once said, "History doesn't repeat itself - but it does rhyme."

I strongly believe that we are coming to another of those points of great change in human civilization and hopefully we can steer the tide, as we certainly can't herd it, in the same direction as those of our past who wanted to live free and share liberty with their families, friends, and neighbors.

Yes, it's me again.

"I learned rather quickly they yield power beyond their collective checkbooks"

Don't worry Anthony, we know what you meant.

Yes, dear Bell, you are doing a wonderful job of focusing on important issues and clarifying them. The "normalcy bias" is getting more strained every day. MSM is looking more ridiculous every day.

But, since academia is bought-and-payed for, I don't see a large scale awakening.

You have to look at the two professors from Princeton; Martin Armstrong and Big, Bad, Bald, Ben Bernanke. Armstrong was uber-competent. Bernanke was quite the opposite. So, the bankers put Armstrong in prison and Bernanke in charge.

I'll skip all the in-between stuff. The bankers were trying to keep the party going regardless of economic reality. Dissipation of capital is very similar to dissipation of heat;

The day of reckoning has arrived. MANY high-level bankers have quit.
It's likely that the rest are going to go down with their presses running at full capacity. Reportedly, they are working diligently to avoid jail time.

The S&L crash was just a warm up. The speculation is that [bank controlled]GOV will default to to the banks. GOV will pay off the banks with valuable tangible assets;

Think "Greek islands" but on a larger scale. This privatization-path has been common in other countries. I do hope that we can avoid it.

Very nice essay, Anthony.

You said: "As the world turns less free and more dangerous over the next decades, freedom will become your most precious legacy."

We're just as free and even freer than before! Thanks to you, you (collectively,) us, and the InterWeb, I think we have discovered these clown faces are not vibrating on our level, Anthony. Cheer up, lad. Here . . . have a balloon dog.

For example, I am in the middle of a red pill / blue pill explanation on boards.ie in Ireland at the moment. I've been writing daily . . . a "Twilight Zone" story about time stopping, 7/13/12, on that website's Creative Writing thread. The story is an extension and intertwining of ARG MetaPhoria, but I cannot tell them that . . . it would be considered "self-promotion," and I would be banned (again;) I am a bit of a black sheep there, hahahaha.

I have found, through writing that story and seeing the feedback (or lack thereof,) there are a lot of people in Ireland that are only thinking of the moment, cannot concentrate for extended periods of time, and subsequently, think below the waistline . . . a typical response to hopelessness.

It's a big chess game, Anthony, but we are switching it to Fidcheall Chess . . . an ancient Druidic game . . . clown faces don't know how to play that version.

If you want to catch my story, it is here: http://boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056709527

I will include a reference to your most excellent adventure/article in tonight's episode. [Is there any chance of correcting the missing "e" when you were on the private beach with your wife? It may give the wrong message to the 200 or so readers.]

I've been enjoying my frequent visits to the Daily Bell these last 4 months, having first heard of it from your fan, author Joseph P. Farrel, over at Giza Death Star.

It is heartening to know that truth can be spoken to power still. Keep up the good work and let the call for freedom shine. We are all patriots willing to fight for the soul of our country.
