The Victims of 9/11 Should Not Be Forgotten

By Staff Report
13

Obama says victims will never be forgotten as 9/11 remembrances begin ... President Barack Obama said on Tuesday that the September 11 victims would be remembered "no matter how many years pass" as Americans marked the 11th anniversary of the attacks in which nearly 3,000 people were killed by airliners hijacked by Islamist militants. Two of the passenger jets brought down the Twin Towers of New York City's World Trade Center, another hit the Pentagon outside Washington and a fourth crashed in a field in Pennsylvania when passengers aboard that flight fought back against the hijackers. − Reuters

Dominant Social Theme: 9/11 was a terrible tragedy.

Free-Market Analysis: There is a steady drumbeat of suspicions that simply refuses to subside when it comes to 9/11.

911Truth.org, Patriots Question 9/11 and hundreds of other websites continually question what really happened on 9/11. Majorities in numerous countries do not believe the current US narrative. Many in the US do not believe it, either.

There is no acknowledgement from the Obama administration regarding this ongoing disbelief. The Reuters article, excerpted above, makes that clear. Here's some more:

Obama, speaking at the Pentagon where 184 people were killed, told victims' families that the whole country shares their loss.

"Eleven times we have paused in remembrance and reflection, in unity and in purpose," Obama said. "This is never an easy day, but it is especially difficult for all of you, the families of nearly 3,000 innocents who lost their lives."

"But no matter how many years pass, no matter how many times we come together on this hallowed ground, know this: That you will never be alone, your loved ones will never be forgotten. They will endure in the hearts of our nation because through their sacrifice they helped us make the America we are today, an America that has emerged even stronger."

Speaking under clear blue skies that recalled the crisp morning of September 11, 2001, Obama said America's fight is not with Islam but with al Qaeda, the group responsible for the attacks, and its allies.

This is a line he has used several times since taking office promising to mend ties with the Muslim world.

"I've always said our fight is with al Qaeda and its affiliates, not with Islam or any other religion," he said. "This country was built as a beacon of freedom and tolerance."

None of this acknowledges the widespread skepticism about 9/11. You would never know that certain members of the 9/11 Commission itself have virtually disavowed the official narrative.

As we have reported previously, the 9/11 Commission's lead counsel, Rutgers's Law Dean John Farmer even wrote a book, The Ground Truth: The Untold Story of America Under Attack on 9/11 that accused the Washington intelligence and military establishment along with the Bush administration of lying serially to the Commission about many aspects of 9/11.

On March 11th, 2011, we reviewed other questions and anomalies in an article entitled "Peter King's Terror Hearings Take Over." You can see the article here:

Peter King's Terror Hearings Take Over

Here's an excerpt:

There are so many anomalies and questions about the attacks that it is difficult to know where to begin. Three obvious – clear-cut – issues stand out. The first has to do with the calls made from the planes.

Initially, the FBI said the calls were made from cell phones but it eventually emerged that the cell phone technology of the day was not viable from the altitudes at which the calls were supposedly made. The FBI then explained that the calls were made from phones installed within the planes themselves. Unfortunately, more research eventually showed that the planes in question did not have the phone technology. To date, there is no good explanation how passenger phone calls – widely reported at the time – took place. Neither cell phones nor in-plane phones were used.

Then there is the issue of the Afghanistan cave "bunkers" from where Bin Laden is said to have plotted and carried out the attacks of 9/11. Donald Rumsfeld conducted several interviews on national TV networks in which he provided colorful schematics of six-story caves complete with elaborate technology communication's gear and even various high-tech vehicles stored in subterranean garages. Videos of these presentations were on Youtube.com, though they appear to have been taken down. More importantly, not a single one of these elaborate cave bunkers were ever discovered despite months of searches by US soldiers in Afghanistan. Apparently, they never existed.

Finally, the FBI provided descriptions of the terrorists as well as their names but it later turned out that many of the identifications were incorrect. Individuals living in Europe and the Middle East came forward to complain that they had been incorrectly identified. The FBI admitted as much but it is still not clear who the terrorists actually were given the confusion about their IDs and the initial misinformation. Photos of the terrorists that were released showed them boarding a plane, but it later turned out that the plane being boarded was in Maine, not Boston, which was a later connection.

These three issues are only a fragment of hundreds of anomalies – questionable information and misinformation – that continue to plague the "official" 9/11 narrative. It has been reported that up to 70 percent of American adults would be in favor of a new commission – a non partisan one – that would attempt to clarify what was obviously a botched job so that some real closure an be achieved about the 9/11 narrative.

If up to 70 percent of the adult US population would like new hearings to clarify matters regarding 9/11 and to finally realize "closure" why not honor this majority wish?

George W. Bush himself reportedly did not even WANT a commission to begin with. The public process has consistently been marred by secrecy and even outright falsehoods.

A new impartial commission would go a long way to "clear the air" over 9/11. The lack of incontrovertible facts, the classified secrets and, above all, the endless contradictions all provide fuel for cynicism and alienation on the part of millions of American citizens.

It is not necessary to suggest a nefarious conclusion or to blame the US or Israeli government in order to call for a new 9/11 commission. It is only necessary after more than a decade of wearisome name calling to want to set the record straight.

Conclusion: What's wrong with that?

911 is a tragedy. Good luck getting your desired "commission DB? Do you really believe the majority of Americans, or people from other nations generally, want to keep hearing this? Give it up.

It was an inside job. Smart people know it. But you aren't about to have the "caretakers" support any honest and truly independent investigation. Just not gonna happen. :-((

I watched the news that day and believed, up until the wreckage of Pennsylvania was shown. What wreckage? Where was the wreckage! Just a smoldering gouge in the ground. Then the Pentagon. Then building 7. Then another 100 unanswered questions.

My friends and family looked upon me with sympathy. The poor b*st*rd, the terror has got to him. Yes, the terror that comes with the realization that the media and my government lie every time their mouths open. It took a lot of work to overcome the terror that my life is nothing like what I have been taught.

Now, I don't care anymore. I don't care what others say or what others think. The evidence (or lack of) stands, and THAT is what I care about.

Sorry, on this anniversary, I have something else to add. We are told the attacks happened because the "evil doers" hate our freedom. Really? The desert trotting cave dwellers are not more free than me? That's the reason? Maybe it IS the independant lifestyle that is under attack. Maybe we should take another look at who hates individual freedom. Could it be an oppressor? Hmmm, who oppresses against independant people? But the lies are crafted, since the "evil doers" do hate freedom.

Since 9/11 torture is ok and truth is not.

The refusal of this government to investigate fully is the most frightening aspect of any of it.

There is one encouraging sign.
The "window of legitimacy" is getting increasingly shorter.
The lies about the attack on the Maine were believed for a century or more.
The lies about the attack on Pearl Harbor were believed for 60 years.
The lies about the attack in the Gulf of Tonkin were believed for 45 years.
The lies about 9/11 were believed for about 2 years.

The lies about the attack on the U.S.S. Liberty were hidden for about 50 years.
With all the truth coming out on the net, it's so much harder to catch people unawares.
The navy is warning about a do-over of the attack on the liberty;

Israel needs to produce some kind of cause-celebre to start a war. Apparently, the U.S. military knows that it would be suicidal. Mentioning this to Netanyahooo seems to have ruffled some feathers.
"General Dempsey told Netanyahu that America would never back an attack on Iran. He left for Bagram Base and was hit by a missile. The defense system had been disabled by a virus. Just a coincidence.

It appears that the gloves are coming off.
"Now, Veterans Today has learned that naval personnel in the upcoming exercise have 'shoot to kill' orders if approached by unknown aircraft, even if clearly marked as 'Israeli.'

My how the times have changed.
Who knows what else may leak out?

I am very glad the Daily Bell keeps writing. This story says 70 percent of the people in the US would like new hearings to clarify matters concerning 9-11. That means that 30 percent must buy it hook, line and sinker. And goodness, I believe I know all 30 percent of them! They have alternated crying today with shouts of "get those evil ones over there." Nothing stirs up a warmonger worse than an 9-11 anniversary. This really needs cleared up, but I won't hold my breath waitng for that to happen.

Victims of 911? It would not take much of a stretch of logic to suggest that the victims of 911 include:

1) The citizens of Afghanistan.
2) The citizens of Iraq
3) Assorted 'guests' in Guantanamo.

And most ironically:

4) Honest and decent Americans, including those whose minds cannot pierce the higher firewalls of evil.

Peripheral victims may include most citizens of the world because 911 was not a 'one-off' but in military
terms the day that 'the balloon went up'.

Cheers-

To me, there is only a need to find out(BESIDES THE HIJACKERS)who was responsible for bringing down Buildings 1, 2, & 7, because the planes could not have done it. See Click to view link

Actually, an independent report on a particular aspect of 9/11 has already been done. The documentary "9/11: Explosive Evidence - Experts Speak Out" put together by the Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth has been making the rounds this past several months. It was even shown recently on Colorado Public TV and is available in their archives for viewing. This is a must see film. I don't see how any thinking person can view it without concluding that the three towers were brought down by controlled demolition. The evidence is that powerful.

After considering the publicly available evidence concerning the WTC attacks, a group of architects, structural engineers, materials scientists, fire protection engineers, controlled demolition engineers, chemists and physicists have concluded that it was impossible for plane impacts and the ensuing office fires to have brought down the towers symmetrically and especially in free fall time. Also, psychologists present valuable insight into why many individuals are so reluctant to stray from the government's official conspiracy theory.

It's a disgrace that the Bush administration wasn't inclined to investigate the events of 9/11. Congress eventually grudgingly appropriated a pittance for this important undertaking. Less money was spent to investigate this particular day of infamy than was spent to investigate Clinton's philandering with Monica! Only in America.

If the 9/11 Commission report, was colander, it would be scraped for having
far too many large holes.

" They will endure in the hearts of our nation because through their sacrifice they helped us make the America we are today, an America that has emerged even stronger."

My imaginary mate going through the Oval Office
waste paper basket came upon the first draft of the above.

" They will endure in the heart of your fiefdom because through their
sacrifice they ensure the lock-down of America, an America that has
emerged even weaker."

Your Obedient Servant.

Obvious reason Bush didn't/doesn't want an investigation, he doesn't want to be found out.

I remember that stupid look he gave after being told of the "attack" by the secret serviceman. Sat with a stupid look of guilt as if to be thinking, "we're going through with this after all!" and hung out for how long before taking any action?

Oh, he didn't want to cause alarm, was the excuse. WHAT?

He could have just said, "Kids you know as president there are many situations that could reguire my immediate attention and something very imporatnt has come up. You all stay in school, study hard and we'll try to come visit again."
He certainly didn't act like the Commander-in-Chief of a country under attack.

70% sounds a bit steep to me. Most folks I bring it up to have bought the party line.

The 9/11/11 Investigation in Canada last year which can be found now on YouTube may help. I noticed that one of the panel members who is an honorary Italian Supreme Court member flied criminal charges against the US government in theWorld Court the other day.

Not that this is in any way desirable except that it might push Congress off their
arses to try to stop any foreign "meddling" in US affairs.
