Emerging Totalitarianism

By Adrian Krieg
137

Dr. Adrian Krieg

Being over 70 years old and having lived through WWII in Europe and lived in Mexico, I have an excellent understanding of what dictatorships are and how they function. The fact that America is rapidly heading into a despotic state is obvious to anyone of my age. Furthermore, every branch of our government is involved. The Supreme Court recently ruled that the charge of 'assistance to terrorism' does not necessitate an overt act; all that is required is providing assistance and/or encouragement to the act. That in effect means anything, for instance, calling the executive a fool, writing a pro-Palestinian article, objecting to Israeli Middle East policies, holocaust denial – anything the bureaucracy disapproves of becomes a violation of this law.

Under the newly enacted – sponsored by McCain (R-AZ) with approval of 93 (STUPID) Senators – National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), the president was granted the right to arrest and detain any American citizens any place in the world without a charge, indefinitely, without right to council, without a warrant, and to torture any such American, merely on his say-so or by indictment of a secret court whose members are anonymous. This totally obliterates the habeas corpus provisions of the Constitution. Furthermore, this law eradicates the Posse Comitatus Act [18 U.S.C. 1385] of June 18, 1887 that prevented the government from employing American military against American civilians.

The president already took upon himself the right to assassinate any American citizen any place in the world without charge, trial, judge, jury and evidence of a crime, simply on his say-so, and has already used that authority to murder.

The enacted in 2001 and re-approved in 2011 USA Patriot Act is the most sinister of all, in that it violates the first, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth amendments of the Bill of Rights. In expansion, it grants the government the right to rifle your mail, tap your telephone and inquire into what you are reading. In a stunning overturn of well-accepted fourth amendment rights a federal court has granted government the right to track your movement with GPS technology, including via cell phones and GPS equipment.

Meanwhile, your local police force is buying everything from spy drones to night vision equipment and are being militarized hand over fist. These weapons and systems that local police are purchasing are not for law enforcement; they are decidedly for issues like crowd control, nighttime secret incursions, combined actions with the National Guard and regular Army, which is now possible due to NDAA. Worse is the fact that numerous airports and facilities around America have had their security services subcontracted to Israeli security firms. While the government contracts training to SPLC for federal agencies and smaller local state agencies follow their lead, SPLC is the most bias-twisted, anti-Christian organization in the land. The federal government has established links with the JDL, Mossad assets, the American Jewish Congress, the ADL and other Israeli operatives; while we cannot prove this we know it to be the case. The story put forth by the Mossad that everyone in government now accepts as gospel is that Israeli and American security issues are one and the same. This, upon examination of issues, is utterly ridiculous.

Lest we forget, police are supposed to serve and protect while military kill and destroy. The two functions are wholly incompatible in a republic. I saw this firsthand in Germany from 1938 onward and in Italy, and in Bulgaria and then in the entire Soviet bloc empire.

In view of the Pollard, Franklin, Rosenberg and scores of Israeli spying operations against us and considering the USS Liberty affair, we would be wise to rely on our own security apparatus and not become entangled with the agencies of a nation which has for decades been most actively spying against us.

We are already underwater with Israeli telephone monitoring and billing operations that have been off-shored by domestic suppliers to Magal Security Systems, an Israeli contractor. Let's be cognizant of the fact that, according to information released last December, there is now operative monitoring of all electronic communications as well as GPS systems. We do not think it rational to allow such information to be subcontracted offshore.

What we are pointing out here is that all the required means for the operation of a top-down police state are either already in place or are being put in place as you read. Even the agencies to administer all this from the federal level, Homeland Security – with over 220,000 employees – is a functioning agency run by one of Obama's dubious associates.

Beginning with 9/11 – a false-flag operation if ever there was one – the nation has lost one liberty after another, and now we have even lost our most basic right to face our accuser, habeas corpus, that has been part of English speaking law since the 12th century. The president, meanwhile, has taken to himself the right to use our own military against its citizens by voiding Posse Comitatus – enacted in 1887 after the war of northern aggression to alleviate the excesses of the Yankees as they had looted, raped and burned their way from Richmond to Atlanta – and the elimination of almost the entire Bill of Rights through the enactment of the USA Patriot Act, which had essentially been written and ready for enactment for over 15 years before 9/11.

What would it take to instill in a mentally challenged population the willingness to have stripped away what little of our freedoms still exist? A little pre-arranged action to be blamed on Iran would make the neocons very happy, the president could be re-elected, the population induced to war against yet another Middle East nation, then the expansion of more freedom crushing laws, the enactment of national hate laws with the government providing the definition of hate, and there you have it – Soviet America Empire of the 21st century.

Mr. Bischoff, I am too stressed to go into everything you have said today with which I disagree. It began with the "arboreal ancestry" remarks, as though that were a proven fact. You state it often and I try to ignore it. I held my tongue, took my son to chemo and made the mistake of checking the comments on my return. Whew!

IMO, there IS no other candidate but Ron Paul. Everything else is just supporting the failed system we have. Obama, Romney, Newt, etc--same, same same. Promise the moon and go on business as usual. Take from the people to give to the elite-money, power, world control. But no matter what happens with this farce of an election, Ron Paul has made a difference. Websites like this have made a difference. It will not be same, same, same forever. This message will continue on and there will be no business as usual. Never again! Like a snowball rolling downhill, freedom's voice will grow and grow until it drowns out the clowns promising the moon just to be in the bully pulpit.

Bionic Mosquito, I am gald you are back. Hope you stay. I check your website now and then.

Except for saying that 9/11 was a false flag operation (which I still believe it was not), I agree with what this author has to say. We basically live in a police state which will only get worse, especially if Ron Paul is not elected and any of the Major Party candidates are elected. We've forgotten our Constitutional roots and many of the reasons we rebelled against King George. I'm very, very disappointed in the USA, both Major Parties and ultimately in the American electorate that keeps giving us these losers in office. The Internet Revolution with the free & fast exchange of ideas & information might eventually reverse the tide, but I'm not sure it will do the trick in time to save our nation from continued collapse. The voters have to start making the effort to find the truth themselves to avoid being brainwashed by the MSM & Powers That Be. I'm not sure if moving to another nation will help that much. I guess it could as it would have helped those in Germany in the 1930s. When to go & where to go?

"I guess it takes one to know one."

No one has ever accused me of being a statist before. It is one more of your many incomprehensible statements, given how well my position has been made clear at this site.

Bluebird, long time no see... .

Don't let Ingo get to you. When you really understand him, his statements today are actually quite mild. Off the top of my head, I can probably come up with 15 statements / positions of his that are as appalling or even more so.

He is a statist through and through. He advocates force and coercion in all of its forms, up to and including murder by the state in order for the state to maintain power.

Yes, don't get so upset. He is a troll.

Please don't hold back. Let me know how you feel. I won't be offended. I have my own point of view, and I readily granting others the right to their own view, not that anyone needs my permission to do so.

I'd truly like to discuss the differences in our views.

You seem to be not only good in name calling, but also in making statements without giving explanations.

How about manning up and making an argument. Tell me what I don't know about Iran. Tell me the opposite of the truth that I am trying to peddle. Come on... .show a little guts..!!!

An excellent article by Mr. Krieg. I am glad the Daily Bell features some of his articles. I really enjoy them.

Mr. Bischoff, I have been hopping up and down since reading your first comment of the day. They have gotten worse as the day wears on. Since I have trouble holding my tongue, I will only say "WOW"!!! Unbelievable. And sad.

Posted by Abu Aardvark on 01/11/12 07:09 PM

Whether you know it or not, most of the claims made above are not just wrong, they're the opposite of truth. In fact, I find it hard to believe that you'd actually peddle this appalling nonsense to promote war on Iran. This is madness!

I'm much younger than 70 and I see it. It's so clear that it's as true as the sun rises, no more words needed, done. The question is why? Why do people vote for Obama types? Why is the Christian ruggid individualist no more? Ops, big hint there... You see if you don't have faith in Christ you have faith in Government! When the USA was populated with Christians, we didn't need government, we had God! The founding documents were impacted by the heart of the writters and signers not the other way around. You must become a Christian to understand that freedom flowed from the heart and soul! No other concept could be understood. God provided, not government. Today, that's not the case. If americans don't believe in the great provider they turn to government. Paul said, I'm a prisoner of Christ! Wow! But that's ultimate freedom! Well, the people of the USA are becoming a prisoner of government which is ultimate slavory!

There is nice video: Core of Corruption.

I agree with Bolton. GW Bush was excelent prezident. But number one ever was Bill Clinton. He showed us what Washington means. Brothel.

Well, the first thing to keep in mind is that it's better to leave a year too early than a minute too late. David Galland recently read They Thought They Were Free: The Germans, 1933-45, by Milton Mayer. He quoted a passage in his column of last Friday. It goes a long way in explaining why Americans appear to be such whipped dogs today. They're no different from the Germans of recent memory.

Boy... ..you're a regular name caller, aren't you?

Whether you know it or not, there has existed a state of war between the United States and the Islamic Republic of Iran since the takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Teheran in 1979. Regardless of the involvement of the United States with Iran under the Shah, the Mullahs who headed up the islamic revolution which overthrew the Shah and his regime were the ones who declared war on the "Great Satan", the United States. The very same Mullahs and their regime are the ones who are hell bent on building an atomic bomb. Why... ???

Other than the totally inept attempt by Carter to rescue the American hostages in 1980 and the recent overflight of an American drone, there has been no overt invasion of Iran. If the U.S. had an intent to invade Iran, one would think they would have done it by now.

As to covert operations, I see no problem with those type of operations during a state of war. As to Gingrich's call to replace the Mullahs by supporting the majority of the Iranian people who struggle to rid themselves of an oppressive theocracy, I say it is preferable to calling for an invasion of Iran.

A regime which clearly, and publicly states that it has the destruction of Israel and the destruction of the United States as its goal, while it tries to built an atomic bomb, should be taken seriously. Unless the regime soon and openly recants its intentions, I grant every reason for Israel to attempt a preemptive strike. It would be sad, if the U.S. fails to assist in that attempt.

John Bolton would make an excellent Secretary of State.

Posted by Abu Aardvark on 01/11/12 05:14 PM

Given Newt Gingrich's track record generally, "chickenhawk" seems rather flattering in my humble opinion. I also called him "regular statist", by the way. Come to think of it, "warmonger" or "terrorist" seem appropriate as well ...

"Newt Gingrich, former Republican Speaker of the House, openly advocated for increased covert terrorism against Iran. He suggested employing 'maximum covert operations to block and disrupt the Iranian program including taking out their scientists, including breaking up their systems. All of it covertly, all of it deniable.'

"Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich called for replacing the leadership of Iran and said that could be accomplished within a year, adopting a more aggressive posture toward the U.S. adversary than advocated by the rest of the Republican field or by President Barack Obama."

Care for some icing?

"Former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton said that he was "honored" that Republican front-runner Newt Gingrich said he would appoint him secretary of State if elected president (... ) Gingrich made the statement Wednesday while speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition's presidential candidate forum. "If he will accept it, I will ask John Bolton to be Secretary of State," Gingrich said"

Excellent precis of the most pressing problem Americans face! Will enough wake up to it before it is too late? I do not think so. Our populace has been "indoctrinated" by our "public" schools to believe that all things must come from Washington and the greatest lure to that thought was the enactment of Social Security. Once that was in place, the rest followed. So induction into the system set the stage for instruction in how it must be expanded and parents and grandparents went along with it because all were part of it.

When it happened, we were a nation of just over 100 milions but today we are over 330 millions, growing about 20 million a year. There is no government on earth that can take care of so many and so the thinkers in Washington know the system is breaking down and that means unrest and then violence as people want what they have been told is "theirs". The governmenters have set in place their own protection and are expanding it to cover all other subordinate forms of government. There will be no respite from this!

You state you were in Europe WWII era and so was I. We saw what happened when all governments were destroyed. People returned to reason and worked together to rebuild their lives, without their own government, relying on foreign troops to keep order so they could do so. We, in the United States, are about to experience the same. Our governments that exist are breaking down and soon will be unable to provide all that their citizens expect. In a sense, we are about to experience what Europe did after two world conflicts across their soils. I was struck by your incorporation of what the South experienced after the Civil War here. You have it right. That is the American analogy as to what is coming!

However, even though things will get terrible, they will also get better as rational people return to the fact that each of us must do what we can to restore life to a sensible mean. Then we will experience a new "Golden Age" and that will last until the next satisfied populations fall victim to another form of "social security".

It isn't that some people have more than others that send people into frenzy. That is the public excuse for the general populace not getting what it thought it voted for when they start their rampage to get it still when it just isn't there! This is what has destroyed civilization from the beginning and it is still happening now! The mob always has appetites and then it does nothing sensible to slack them!

It is great to philiosophize but in the end, you are a prophet who has lost the ears of the people and so the course and curse of history must continue!

Adrian Krieg, you get it, but too little to late. This exactly is why the two-witnesses of Revelation, chapter 11 are coming. While during their 3 1/2 years of witnessing, they can't touch Obama because he's NOT an Israelite by the seed of Joseph, Obama can't touch them either until their mission has been completed so that recent act byb Obama of taking people w/o due process means absolutely nothing! Although he will get to kill them after they have completed their assignment in 3 1/2 years, in just 3 1/2 days later they will stand again and Obama will be cast into the fire of hell and destroyed eternally and man's age finally will come to an end. No? Watch! I'm done.
