Free-Market Analysis: This is a surprising development and one we believe has been caused by UKIP, the quasi-libertarian British party that has been growing quickly. Now it looks as if long-suffering Brits will finally have a say as to whether or not they wish to be ruled via Brussels.
The victories of UKIP seem to have panicked the cynical Tory leadership into providing such a referendum. We can hardly believe it.
If the current government run by the charisma-deprived David Cameron does hold a referendum – presumably because the alternative is ceding their conservative leadership to UKIP – it will be a definitive defeat for Western globalists and the international banking establishment.
The EU, like other such "unions," are supposed to be precursors to even greater unions, from what we can tell. And thus, if Britain breaks away these plans could be said to have been reversed – a retreat that would be, in our humble opinion, a fairly stunning one.
It would further emphasize the strength of our paradigm regarding what we call the Internet Reformation. Our perspective is that the free-flow of information about sociopolitical and economic issues has made the job of globalists a great deal more difficult.
It is harder than ever to manipulate the masses in various ways using what we call dominant social themes. And meanwhile, it is easier for a small, vocal minority that wishes to increase freedom in a given society to generate substantive pressure that can lead to changes.
Already we have seen the shutting down of various carbon exchanges that were supposed to trade carbon credits to alleviate global warming. And the mainstream media itself has come under tremendous attack from the Internet and from alternative media.
Much that was hidden is now coming to light regarding various manipulations in the 20th century, especially regarding the economy and the growth of central banking. Central banks are under attack as never before.
And now perhaps there will be a real referendum regarding the EU. Here's more:
Conservative MP James Wharton says he will be tabling a Private Member's Bill on an EU referendum after coming top of a ballot of MPs. In an article for Telegraph.co.uk, James Wharton says that he believes he is "on the brink of an amazing victory" as he has received private pledges of support from Labour and Liberal Democrat MPs. He also urges Conservative supporters of a referendum not to seek to amend his legislation when it is debated in the House of Commons next month.
Mr Wharton is to attempt to introduce a Private Member's Bill which will enshrine in law David Cameron's pledge to hold an in-out referendum by 2018. In an unusual move, the bill is being supported by the Prime Minister who has ordered all Conservative MPs to support Mr Wharton's historic legislation. It will be debated on Friday July 5th. The Conservatives cannot introduce the measure formally as a piece of Government legislation as it is being blocked by Nick Clegg so senior Tories are relying on Mr Wharton, a young backbencher.
However, in today's article, Mr Wharton urges MPs from other parties to back the referendum measure –claiming that he believes that he is on the brink of "an amazing victory". He says: "The parliamentary arithmetic suggests it will struggle to pass – after all, the Conservatives don't have a majority. But the soundings I have taken suggest we could be on the brink of an amazing victory. "All that is required is a few MPs from other parties to support it. Already there are some who have indicated they will.
The launch of the new Labour for a Referendum group means even more pressure on Labour MPs to do so. It moves my Bill one step closer to reality." The Labour frontbench has pledged to use a series of Parliamentary devices to block the legislation – which will only be granted a limited period to be debated in the Commons because it is not official Government business. However, Mr Wharton says: "There are many devices at their [opponents] disposal that they can use to hold up its progress. I say to them: do so if you wish, but don't think we won't let your constituents know about it. If you want to go into the next election with that on your record, so be it. Because believe me, we will hang your opposition to a referendum around your neck."
This sounds significant. For decades, the British establishment pretended that what was going on in the EU was merely the growth of a trade union. But in reality it is nothing of the sort. Eurocrats always intended to create an empire with a full-fledged currency, army, justice system etc.
The arrogance of those who thought they could take tribes that trace at least part of their bloodlines back to the great Celtic civilizations of 10,000 years ago and squash them into a single community within a couple of decades is staggering. These are old cultures and changing money-stuff does nothing to vitiate the larger shared legacy.
The EU likely will not stand, at least not in its current condition, any more than the euro. The referendum, if it occurs, will be a significant death knell to a certain kind of internationalism and truly mark the end of an era.
It will be one of the most important developments of the early 21st century, certainly if the British vote against participating in the EU as it seems they will. And if such a vote occurs, we doubt it will be demanded of the British that they vote again – until they "get it right."
Those in Brussels and in the City of London will have to deal with the shattering of their plans. If we are correct, this will be a more and more common occurrence in the 21st century as some of the darkness lifts.
