In June, a video went viral of a woman at a California spa called Wi Spa complaining that there was a man, in the women’s locker room.

She claimed the man was fully naked with a partially erect penis in front of women and a young girl. But the staff claimed that the man was actually a transgender woman, and therefore allowed to use the women’s locker room.

Protests erupted outside of the spa, demanding a safe environment for women, free from clearly biological men.

However, counter-protesters also showed up to support the alleged trans women, claiming “she” was being discriminated against by transphobic customers.

But now new information has come to light that suggests these trans-activists were actually supporting a convicted sex offender who does not genuinely identify as a woman.

The man who was in Wi Spa’s women’s locker room that day is Darren Agee Merager. Turns out he has two past convictions for indecent exposure. That makes him a convicted sex offender— and he was also later arrested for failing to register as a sex offender.

In 2018, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department circulated an internal memo explaining, “Merager claims to identify as female so he can access women’s locker rooms and showers.”

Now, according to sources from the New York Post, Merager has been charged for indecent exposure in relation to the Wi Spa incident.
