Surveys Show Shocking Level of American Government ‘Hatred’
By Daily Bell Staff - February 09, 2016

New Hampshire is the second state to make its picks for the Republican and Democratic presidential nominees. Residents will cast ballots in primary elections on Feb. 9, one week after the first presidential nominating contest in Iowa, where Republican Ted Cruz and Democrat Hillary Clinton emerged victorious from the caucuses … While all the early primary states are in the business of winnowing the presidential field, New Hampshire in the past has set itself apart by spooking the front-runner and supporting a lesser-known candidate. With a crowded field on the Republican side, that type of choice could make things particularly interesting. While we wait to see who the winners and losers will be, we’re digging into the details of the second presidential nominating state to answer some questions you might have. – US News

The article above believes we have questions about the vote in New Hampshire.

We don’t. In fact, judging from some recent reporting it seems as if lots of Americans have very few questions at this point.

Mostly because they are disgusted.

What’s the evidence? Well … two recent polls, for one thing.

CBS recently posted a report entitled, “Americans hate the U.S. government more than ever.” The story was based on a new survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

Here’s a quote:

The federal government has joined the ranks of the bottom-of-the-barrel industries, according to a new survey from the American Customer Satisfaction Index. Americans’ satisfaction level in dealing with federal agencies – everything from Treasury to Homeland Security – has fallen for a third consecutive year, reaching an eight-year low.

In fact, approval ratings for government picked up a bit 2011 and 2012, probably because the government was handing out lots of money to counteract the Greater Recession.

But the article quotes Forrest Morgeson, ACSI’s director of research as warning, “Satisfaction is linked to broader goals in the political system that it wants to maximize, like confidence and trust … It’s much more difficult to govern if the entire population dislikes you.”

This is not a hypothetical warning. Well-known Washington’s Blog recently reported that the “Overwhelming Majority of Americans Believe That Both Parties Are Too Corrupt to Change Anything … ‘This, in Fact, Is a Revolution’.”

The article summarizes a Huffington Post article in which a “group of Republican and Democratic pollsters and political strategists” provide some “stunning” online results based on polling data:

  • 84% of all Americans believe political leaders are more interested in protecting their power and privilege than doing what is right
  • 81% percent believe the power of ordinary people to control our country is getting weaker every day as politicians of both parties fight to protect their own power and privilege
  • 80% believe the federal government is its own special interest primarily looking out for itself
  • 78% believe that the Democratic and Republican Parties are essentially useless in changing anything, because both political parties are too beholden -75% believe that the US government is NOT working for the people’s best interest
  • 74% see the biased and slanted coverage of the media as part of the problem
  • 71% believe our government is not only dysfunctional, it is collapsing right before our eyes
  • 70% believe the government in Washington does not govern with the consent of the people

The pollsters concluded that “The country [is] in a prerevolutionary moment. … This election could mark the beginning of the end of two-party duopoly in the United States.”

The pollsters also characterized people’s perception of the US as a kind of war zone in which a “struggle” is taking place between “ruling elites” and mainstream America.

They indicated that such views are being portrayed as “temporary” but this may not be so – and that the views represent a “tidal wave of discontent.”

Washington’s Blog concludes, “This, in fact, is a revolution.”

Okay … but not so fast.

From our perspective, this is more evolution than revolution. That’s not a bad thing.

This evolution is far from finished.

For about a decade now, in various Internet incarnations and most recently at The Daily Bell, we’ve pointed out that the previous information revolution, embodied by the Gutenberg press, splintered Western civilization and created an entirely new sociopolitical and economic environment.

For a long time we were regularly accused of being foolish and overly optimistic. But studying the results of the Gutenberg press showed us clearly that the “modern” kind of information revolution was relatively unstoppable and that it would destroy much that seemed inviolable.

It is very difficult to implement change from the top down when people have been awakened to their plight.

This awakening is not necessarily the same thing as a physical revolution, however. What is happening is that society’s certainties are self-destructing.

The elites that created this structure are now trying to substitute another structure via trade agreements like TPP, but since it is coming from the same place, people are distrustful of them.

In fact, we would argue that the masses in Europe are just as disaffected about their federal government as US citizens are about theirs. And this means in the longer term that the planning and manipulation now taking place will not necessarily result in the kind of world that our modern elites wish to see.

Realize that you are NOT doomed to live in a world resembling 1984 because too many people know about it and intend to resist. There is no such thing as “secret” directed history anymore.

These polls show very clearly that that the surreptitious direction elites exercised in the 20th century is a thing of the past. But please note there are no satisfactory alternatives for them. Overt violence against seven billion people is a questionable solution indeed.

This is not to say that the evolution of a better, freer kind of global society will be easy or efficient. On the contrary, it may be bloody and impoverishing. YOUR assignment is to ensure that you and your family are not caught up in the coming chaos.

Conclusion: You need to take action when it comes to ensuring lifestyle and even survival options. Make sure you have access to food, potable water and sufficient cash and precious metals. Diversify your investments. You need to successfully navigate what is unfolding. But if you do, there are better times ahead.

Interesting to note that as much as people don’t like the government (or congressmen), they always seem to re-elect their own.

    …and the problem continues

    • Dimitri Ledkovsky

Yep! They all talk a good game and then march themselves right down to the polling station to get that puny ego lift that seems to arise from casting The Vote (their own) that is imagined to make all the difference in the world. Pathetic! And this probably includes a sizable contingent of Libertarians who do it “for patriotic reasons”. Even more pathetic!

      • Earn nest

I was distraught with Rand Paul’s supporters as they fled him for his attempts at appeasing the party. A pragmatic effort yet they’d rather just vote “no.” It is in the very nature of our politics that standing only on principle will fail at the polls.

        • Leland Roth

Rand Paul was an Israel firster….at least Trump blames Israel for sponsoring Isis.

        • deltajent

Which should clue you in as to why the whole political process is inherently flawed. Compromise of principle in interest of pragmatism is always to the downside. But the basic thing wrong with political government is that it’s based on force, not voluntary actions as in legitimate organizations. To believe that the majority of voters (not necessarily the majority of the populace) has the right to use as much violence as it takes to force the entire population to submit to their will and to forcibly take their property via taxation to accomplish it is simply fundamentally wrong. There is no cure for that. Or IOW, “you can’t fix stupid.”

    • AntiLieGuy

The elections are rigged. The programmer who wrote the code to flip the votes told congress and what did those evil traitors do? they installed more electronic voting machines across the country. The entire government are evil treasonous lizards who are planning your death in WW3. The government is the supreme scum of the earth and they are controlled by evil ETs.

The entire government are evil treasonous criminals. The day of the next false flag using the nuke they stole in 2007 and blamed on Iran, America will be destroyed by Russia, China and the SCO. This is the war of Armageddon and you can know it is now because of Planet X and the toxic chemtrails that hide it every day. Planet X will end the war when it rips the earth apart again but 90% of Americans will be dead already. All planned by your evil government.

  • Goldminer77

Yes, John, and that is for at least two reasons: 1) they continue to believe what they are told by the candidate (and hope he/she will deliver) and 2) who else is there to vote for? Personally, I am utterly disgusted what our elected “officials” have deliberately done to our nation in their desire to keep power and control. We are on the verge of a revolution I, too, think and I hope it won’t be violent when Detroit and Philly and St. Louis and LA erupt.

  • Ronnie

I think the reason Trump is doing well as he gets it. He is not the establishment and this bothers all of those in D.C. We need a cleansing of those who remain elected every time and they do nothing but spend our money. Term Limits are a must to get rid of the majority of those in office regardless of how long they have been in office.

    • Leland Roth

Trump loves torturing folks as much as Qbama! What could go wrong here Ronnie?

The mainstream narrative has become so disconnected from reality that only a reality TV show personality can properly manage it. The Donald looks into the camera, acknowledges the farce, and keeps selling like a champ. He is the lone performer with self irony, where the other actors on the stage expect the audience suspend their disbelief with no acknowledgement.

  • Fantazine Davol

I think in one way this revolution is being played by not understanding that it comes from without the United States, in the form of pay-offs and favors from foreign countries that we may soon learn a lot about from the FBI investigation into Hillary’s email business, and then there’s the Israeli coup de’tat that these days is just something almost everyone knows about and studies closely. Then there is the greed of insider trading that reaches the extreme of this President making noise about gun control while at the same time being personally invested in the arms businesses. I think if we don’t grasp the external influences then those external influences will continue to play all of us against each other.

You can can take actions to make you feel better, but face it Americans, few of you are tough enough to survive the USA slide into second and third world poverty that is coming by 2020. The price of what you have to offer(your labor) is declining, and the price of what you need to survive is not.

This article reveals the sentiments of people that can still think, but what about the brainwashed multitudes? I am afraid, the poll does not represent the majority, or the fundamentalist Zionist Christians that support Israel and its warmonger operatives and banksters that control the US government in the Pentagon and White House.

    • john cummins

I am a Christian and happy about it but I’m constantly trying to Biblically and historically inform my brethren that have been brainwashed into warmongering, etc. It is a hard task but one which must be done. The Christianity is NOT the problem, the misinterpretation and historical ignorance ARE.

I’ve said for ages that far too many professing religionists deny the underlying anarchist current that runs through the most popular of books that is held up as the backbone of their belief system. Throughout the book individuals are urged to refrain from collectivist thought; but, as if with one voice, they collectively lust for central political authority.

The daily fate of almost 330 million Americans is in the hands of 546 bozos and their bureaucratic underlings. That’s a ridiculous ratio, 604, 396 pseudo-citizens for each, senator, representative, supreme court justice, president and vp. The US needs to be chopped into sovereign states as the articles of confederation stipulated. Pretending that the people of Maine and Arizona have something in common is silly.

    • AntiLieGuy

The fate of 330 million Americans is in THEIR OWN hands. If they dont remove their terrorist government, they will all die in WW3.

Why do you think Russia is putting 840 military bases in the arctic?? Both Russia and China have said they will nuke us over Iran. You can hear a scum fake israeli politician and btch Hitlery both talking about another false flag to invade Iran. You can also find all the info on the stolen nuke from 2007 that left Minot AFB carrying live nukes and all the soldiers who died (were killed) that were involved in the case. The writing is clear. You should read your real news and your Bible (forget everything the church says first).

        • Mr Smith

This was a hard truth for me to wake up to, but I believe AntiLieGuy is correct. The elections are all rigged. They don’t even count the votes – it’s all a horse and pony show. The debates and pre-election is one big circus so you can feel like you had a choice. All of the “candidates” for dictator in chief are already approved of and in the pocket of the ruling elite. Rand Paul may have been the only candidate who wasn’t and he dropped out after being mostly blacked out by the media. All of the candidates are going to do what their hidden masters and money interests tell them too, just like Obama. The only way the game ends is when the citizens stop playing.

          Respectfully shared,

  • Linda

So, yes I hate the government; but hate takes many forms that are frequently chaotic and disruptive, and the results are often divisive and therefore futile. I want to use this energy intelligently and productively, in union with like minded friends/ neighbors. However, I feel that, despite those high polling numbers agreeing that we hate our government, there seems to be very little in the way of unification of these massive numbers of people for anything productive.
Sadly, much of the race baiting and insane tactics out of the White House seem to have worked well enough that Beyonce showed all football viewers, that their sacred game could be intercepted by a message from the racist idiots at BLM.
Worse still, I don’t think we are heading towards something positive at all. We may be headed towards a time when the vulnerable will suffer greatly, and there seems to be very little chance we can just hunker down and ride this out. It will be a living nightmare.
Will it be followed by something good? I think it far more likely that it will be followed by something relatively stable, than something” good”. Stabity is not necessarily good, it is adopted as good because instability is frightening. And we have good reason to be frightened.
We have paid this government to grow, and we didn’t keep it in check. Now we have a Dictator in Chief, who will probably just step up when things fall apart and volunteer to be our full time ruler forever.
The next round of goverment after the Fall will be different, but you should never confuse something different or new with something better. Conflating those ideas is a mistake.
I hope we fare better than those poor guys on the Walking Dead. They can’t find a stable home base and major players die off constantly, shocking the system and leaving them harder and emptier than before.
I do not look forward to what is coming. Linda

        • AntiLieGuy

Youre stupid. Leave the USA like the Bible says over and over. Everything in the USA will die. Only 10% will live and many of those will be prisoners in the SCO countries. Planet X will end the war when it goes around the sun and rips north america into thirds, erupts Yellowstone super volcano and kills 5/6 of the 200 million SCO invaders. Also the great lakes will drain into the gulf of mexico and a small moon will break up and hit the Pacific ocean. that is what will happen. The war will last approximately 430 days before Planet X arrives.

We have to fight to make things better and keep working hard every day. We have to stick by our beliefs and principles. We have to fight corruption.
Today I read that Geert Wilders said that Islam is not a religion like Christianity, -Islam is a Tyrannical Political Ideology. He said further that we have to get it out of our country if we want to survive. That sounds sane. Linda

Hatred of “the-government” is OK — slick and cool. Indifference is not. Genuine apathy is verboten.

The science of rulership is perhaps the most under-discussed of topics. “Hatred-of-government” is one of the more effective tools within that science. It might even form the backbone of the axiom, war is the health of the state. Because in order for the hoi polloi to enthusiastically support war it is essential for them to hate the state — someone else’s state. All states are brainless abstractions.

To become sovereign in a world that intrinsically distrusts individual liberty and freedom is in itself a science. I suggest that our first and best devises in the practice of that science is this: abstain from beans.

The author has missed a point. The peoples of Europe hate their governments even more than Americans hate the US government. Europeans hate their own rulers, but they are also very much aware that those rulers are, in turn, ruled by Washington. So there’s twice as much to hate – hate-squared!

  • Praetor

Dissatisfied with the modern world! OK! And what do people do about it. Simple, organize build and resist. The status quo we have now is not valid. Make a new society, a society within a society. Take action to independence, and this is called ‘Human Action’. Yes, people are sick of the system, but their also sick of hearing how screwed up the system is, and no solutions. The best way to show the dissatisfied is by you’re own human action of independence. They are tried of hearing how to be free and independent, they need to see it. Talking doesn’t work, showing does.

Example: Look at these modern day immigrants. They are not integrating! They are congregating together, they are literally taking over whole communities. They ignore the law, local governments, they have their own schools, churches and traditions. They just simply dismiss the system as invalid and no consequence. Of course, this is way people say, they are not assimilating, and there is the rub.

When people talk about, Natural Laws of Human Action, what comes to my mind is, ‘File for Divorce’ from the modern world of dissatisfaction!!!

    • ukalally

we cant do that cause we are white and how would an immigrant getting govt checks know about our system here

      • Praetor

Color, religion, origin, gender, none of that has anything to do with it! Avoid the so called real, the real economy is the lie! 2 to 2.5 trillion $ underground economy, 95 plus million not looking for work in the U.S. or care to have work. 13% of GDP in the developed countries is underground, 36% of GDP in developing countries is underground. I’d say, someone’s doing it, and I bet you, many be white. Yes, government money is a problem, but, so what, can’t change that. Just join the real! Stop being so intent on destruction without a plan. Immigrants are not the only ones bilking the pig!!!

        • Bruce C.

“including cops and firemen” is ironic because even though their calling cards are to be real-life super heroes they’re actually pretty statist. They’re both government employees to say the least. The fact that they may be taking fraudulent payouts from government “entitlement” programs is one aspect of the irony and perversity of the collectivist mentality that creates those programs. Another ironic and perverse effect is lower self-reliance and honesty.

They – and I suspect a lot of Bernie Sander’s constituents (and Clinton’s too to some extent) – aren’t thinking, feeling, and acting from a position of empowerment so if/when they have to choose between one of them and someone like Trump they either won’t vote at all or may vote for the promise and vision of something better (at least for their kids) and not just more of the same.

The Ruling Class is aware of how much it is hated. The ever growing disdain for them makes TRC frightened, desperate, and dangerous. They are prepared to kill anyone who opposes them.

    • Bruce C.

I fear that too, but it may not be that simple. Public opinion always matters to TRC and an assassination would probably not help. They would more likely try to usurp the opposition.

I think the way the FBI handles Clinton’s investigation will be critical. Fortunately, by taking so long more and more people are becoming aware of the process and the consequences of the outcome. I’m actually beginning to think she may be indicted. To not make her a (guilty) “fall guy” under the circumstances would infuriate public opinion towards the system and “elites” (i.e., Clinton, even though that’s a joke) even more. It would certainly give Trump another example of inside cronyism to point out. Even Sanders might remind his constituents that they themselves would never get off like that for what Clinton did. I’m not suggesting the head of the FBI is so political but Lorreta Lynch the Attorney General probably is. Remember also, that Obama was aware of it all and allowed it. Therefore, if Clinton is not indicted Obama could end up in the cross-hairs, making it unlikely he’d ever become a Supreme Court Justice, as grotesque as that sounds.

      • rahrog

I wasn’t referring to political assassination, or which bozo is the next president. The Ruling Class blows up entire countries as casually as some folks order a cup of coffee. They OWN your government; it does not matter who the CEO of your government is. The court system of America is not tied to Natural Law, Just Law, or Rule of Law. It is corrupt to the core. It does not matter which puppet appoints which sell-out to such a court. SECEDE…SECEDE…SECEDE…Then secede again.

We hate what they are doing, but love the individual Spirit. We need an Initiate at the level of Parzival to join them and change them for the better.

  • BT

Most Americans love government, but hate bad government and the despots that make it worse. The media in America is the best government owned device money can buy, as journalism in its pure sense is dead and self proclaimed journalists on T.V. today are nothing more than opinion makers, and do not vet their own stories. The alternative media has more “journalists” then any of the major news conglomerates, and report more honestly as well. The local news is nothing more than well dressed folks reading a national report put out by who knows, as they have been outed many times, and many of the main stream websites are primarily controlled by the same money and interests, even those that purport to be “rogue” sites. The people that are voted into office were supposed to represent the people, and no longer do as they represent themselves and their corporate donors to a point that they will fine a farmer for using pesticides near a river, but will allow a chemical plant to dump in the same river and look the other way. There are certainly issues with the political class, and they will not get worked out until every American feels the pain of the financial theft and destruction they leave in their wake.

    • Donald Lloyd Castle

I don’t watch, but I know just how right you are. I haven’t watch broadcast television since 1994 because of what your talking about.

      • BT

Below are the best examples of what you have been missing. Propaganda programming and these are local stations across the nation. There is no doubt that they are given a daily script to follow, these people are made to do fund raisers and cover events that are close to the public heart like at Christmas, Easter, always portraying themselves as pillars of the community to ensure the message they are made to send out appears as authentic and trustworthy.

This should be a crime against humanity to control, to manipulate, and propagate against citizens, but Congress has passed laws to ensure that propaganda is completely legal to protect these people from those who know the truth from stopping this heinous act.

The real point of anything government these days is the confirmed hatred of anything BO, his administration, his illegal edicts, and our current POS congress! The elites are trying to engineer their globalist views of socialism throughout the world. Time for the People of the US to take back their country, their sovereignty, their constitutional law. This current pack of elected officials have really pissed of the silent majority. And we are sending em a big message!

  • mannasage

The anti Obama effect has caused most of this distrust, Obama & his lackeys have failed the American citizens, big time!

    • GrandmaAmerica

The American citizens distrust the manipulating Liberal media also, big time!

    • Bruce C.

It started before Obama but he has accelerated it especially since his “fundamental change” of America has been so perverse.

  • William Wajert Sr

    This is NOT shocking.

    • Francisco Machado

I think the immediate betrayal by the newly elected Republican majority members in Congress after the 2014 election just might have had some effect on how negatively the voters viewed these lying traitors who were going to do “everything possible” to derail Obama’s destructive policies and curtail his exorbitant spending. The prank they played upon us was not appreciated. It resulted in Trump.

      • Bruce C.

Not to mention Paul Ryan’s cameo act as Majority Speaker.

The extreme deviation from the ideals and values of the U S Constitution by the progressive Obama administration and RINOs has earned the disdain of the American people.

Trump is a part of the problem for he’s one of the 1% so don’t be duped.!!

      • acqcon@aol.com

BS! What about Obama? He’s inept! We need a leader, not some fund ass. Trump in 2016.

        • Robert Ferrin

Of course he is along with the one he replaced but the question is just what kind of leader do you want, one who is always serving his masters or one who serves the people, and when Trump said he would make waterboarding legal then he’s little better then the one he would replace,no we need a leader that puts the country and its people first not one who sends them into some foreign land to come back in the middle of the night in a body bag, nope TRUMP IS OUT.!!!!!!!

      • Bruce C.

So who do you like? Even if most people didn’t vote at all there would still be a declared winner and all that implies. There is more evidence and reason for Trump to be unique and actually “pro American” than any other candidate. If you give him a shot and he doesn’t pan out then you weren’t duped, just optimistic. However, electing another professional politician hoping THEY will be different is to be duped.

        • Robert Ferrin

A good question a very good question indeed who do I like and at this point no one passes the sniff test,Trump has filed bankruptcy to many times to suit me, is he for his own class or the people, when you say he will put America first in what respect as the empire or re-building America,I have yet to hear him condemn the outsourcing of jobs (I see Ford is building a multi-billion dollar plant in Mexico, more U.S. jobs gone)nor have I heard him condemn wall street and its bankers, and the greatest question of all can we as a nation take a gamble on more of the same.!!!!!!!!!!!

          • Praetor

Why do you think he says China all the time, outsourcing! The plant in Mexico more robot jobs, maybe some janitor jobs! Don’t be so sure banks like him or wall street. Just wait the government is getting ready to file bankruptcy and the effect will be on main street!!!

          • Bruce C.

The bankruptcy issue is interesting (see below) but I want to address your other concerns first.

Actually he has condemned the outsourcing of jobs a lot. In fact, he has mentioned Ford moving a plant to Mexico several times at least. But he also condemns it more generally in his “we are led by very stupid people” diatribes. He has a big issues with lousy trade agreements with China, for example.

I haven’t heard him condemn bankers and Wall Street much yet but the campaign is still early and that is a very dangerous topic especially since he knows that the GOP is against him already. Remember, he has to win this election or its all for naught. He may also be waiting to see how things play out with Bernie Sanders who dumps on the financial industry a lot.

Now the bankruptcy issue is interesting. The short answer is that it was not that “he”/his-management was the cause of the bankruptcies but he used the bankruptcy laws strategically to liquidate companies that were doomed to begin with. The important point here, which relates to your greatest concern, is can and will he use his knowledge and “ruthlessness” and business-minded acumen for the benefit of the US, or not?

I think he would. I know a lot of people who know him and have worked with him and he seems very happy and content working his usual business. I don’t think he’s seeking more wealth by being President. I don’t think he even likes politics and the vermin who work in it. I think he truly believes the country is circling the drain and he wants to try to save it, and thinks he can. As I’ve said in other posts he has more upside potential than any of the others, and unless he’s totally duped by the MIC, probably less downside too. Ironically the MIC may “like” him because he talks about rebuilding the military so “nobody messes with us,” but he may be their worse nightmare if he scrutinizes their budgets, etc.

          • Robert Ferrin

Of course the country is circling the drain trillions in debt a corrupt stock market a corrupt banking system a country bordering on civil un-rest, and no I don’t know him or anyone else that does, but I don’t believe that he’s the man, for some thing lol call it a gut feeling if you will that in reality he little different than what we have had for the last 16 years and the problem is without changing the regime in Washington little can be or will be done and they won’t permit that, but then again its a long road to Nov..!!!!!

Progressives have been at this since the 1890’s. I would say they have seen a great deal of success with their programs at our expense. By the way, progressive ideals know no party bounds. They are simply apposed to a constitutional republic. They want a fully administrative governing system to hell with the constitution. No wonder we hate them they do not represent us. They always have pretty names though such as anything that starts with “the peoples republic” or any similar. They are never for the people and they are never a republic. Skanky bastards.

  • rivahmitch

Revolution, while horrendous to contemplate, is still preferable to serfdom or dhimmitude.

  • Ray Calloway II

It’s not shocking to US, WE THE PEOPLE and it’s much more
than just Obama. The bureaucrats, the establishment, rich donors and
liberal media would like to have us think it is shocking. They are very afraid
of the “revolution” that is unfolding in front of their eyes. WE are taking OUR
Country back! WE are tired of the lies, the deceit, and the politicians telling
us what we want to hear then doing what the big money tells them they must do…to
OUR detriment TAX, tax, tax and spend more!! This must stop. The recent voting results
are now forecasting our undeniable destiny. The recent polls that never would
have been possible without the immediate and fingertip technology we have today
are one of our saviors. The Convention of States is another. It’s a perfect
storm for Us, THE PEOPLE! The pundits are afraid but it is coming and in a big
way. For the first time WE have a candidate that is not taking the back and
front door money. That money is corrupt and it turns well-intended beginners
and life-time politicians into corrupt puppets for the pundits. So no, the
pundits don’t want us to think we know what we’re doing. They don’t want us to
revolt and reject the candidates they tell Us we must have. They don’t want Us
to think with our own brains while we tell them to “PISS OFF!”. They see and
feel it coming and FINALLY, they are limited to do anything about it! In
reality, they want Us to be quiet little sheep and nod to their directives…Establishment,
try to tell Donald Trump how to act, what to do, where to spend, to tax more, what
legislation to pass and to stay with the status quo so your pockets remain velvet-lined. He will build a wall, he will slash budgets, he will reduce government spending, he will balance the budget, he will lower taxes, he will reject illegals and send them packing, he will eliminate lobbyists and big donor mentality, he will bring our jobs back and WE will prosper from it.You are close to being out of the loop which means WE THE PEOPLE will get back in control…THE WAY IT WAS MEANT TO BE by our founding Fathers! If WE let this slip through OUR fingers, we have missed an incredible opportunity for OUR Country. LET’S TAKE AMERICA BACK, send the pundits to the curb AND MAKE OUR COUNTRY SAFE AND GREAT AGAIN!! Get on the Trump wagon and we can right this mighty ship!!

    • Bruce C.

I agree that Trump is the only interesting Presidential candidate and the only one who might actually be willing and able to make some major changes. It’s important, however, that he not just win this election but win it soundly so that he has an undeniable popular mandate. That will be his trump card for invoking change. If he really is as pro “traditional American” as he claims (and seems) then even if he can’t improve things “legislatively” then hopefully he will be intuitive enough to pick two or three “excellent” Supreme Court Justices.

  • M.A.Rue

Sadly, way too many Americans are of the opinion that we the people work for them! We the people are their bosses, we the people pay their obscene salaries & even more obscene benefits. None of them “represent” we the people. They better wake up & realize the silent majority is out here waiting….and it won’t be pretty.

    • Last of the patriots

That’s why we need a revolution to not give them money of any sort, government taxes including government taxes. Once the well dries people will really see how crooked politicians are. You can’t get credit when the people are seeing how the corrupt are spending uncontrollably without people’s taxes money to give away.

    • Mary Brumley

I really do agree, we are patient–but waiting. And it certainly won’t be pretty. We will suffer also.

  • joe1cr

We do not have a representative government any more.
The elites of both parties have sold out Americans and put this country on the path to one world government.
Both have sold out the American people time after time with trade agreements such as NATFA,GATT and WTO by killing our manufacturing jobs and sending them overseas. Between Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43, Obama and Wall St. they have looted the treasury and took many of our freedoms. While the press ,justice dept. and congress have set by like the proverbial three monkey’s That can not SEE,HEAR or SPEAK out for the people .The republicans have lied to us, in 2010, 2012 and 2014 and have went along with the socialist democrats in destroying our American constitution. Today it the EPA, ATF, NSC, IRS and other departments that are passing regulations with out constitutional authority to finish the job.

Capital Hill is rampant with political corruption by the use of legislated powers by government officials for illegitimate private gain. Forms of corruption vary, but include bribery, extortion, cronyism, nepotism, patronage, graft, and embezzlement.

  • Disgusted

The poll percentages line up with an old cliche . 20% of most orgs are the active doers movers while 80% are the followers , fence sitters , or complainers . The 20% in our country have an ace in the corp/gov media machine . It’s the only way a 1-2 % population like the sodomites for example can be made to appear like a significant sector of the population pushing the perversion agenda on young people to replicate themselves .
One has to expose and eliminate the untruth in the media to help drive a restoration of normalcy into the national mindset .

    • Bruce C.

I think Trump has been good at doing that. He really does know a lot of people in media and government and many of them are vile personalities. He probably has tons of revealing anecdotes he could rattle off that are absolutely true and believable. They know it too.

The Bozo in the WH does in fact tells us what he wants us to believe. He knows that isn’t what we actually believe but is convinced we are so gullible and he is soooo smart, we will believe it. It is a horribly bad political ploy for politicians and most of them use that strategy on Us every day. They could care less what we believe and do exactly what the big money and the establishment tell them to do. It’s sickening and we’re about to take our Country back and away from those puppet politicians. Establishment, try to tell Donald Trump how to act, what to do, where to spend, to tax more, what legislation to pass and to stay with the status quo so your pockets remain velvet-lined. The folks that conduct international business and trade want a stable currency that maintains its value as the international standard…which the petro dollar isn’t anymore, as it is depreciating as we speak!! The Federal government/Treasury needs to flat-out nationalize the Federal Reserve Banks and issue currency itself with oversight from Congress. To allow the privately owned and foreign controlled Federal Reserve Banks to continue to operate for profit and without any Federal oversight/audits is flat-out suicidal and the system will end up collapsing in the near future, as this type of financial system creates more and more accumulated interest to the point where there is so much more interest and debt in circulation than money with which to pay off that debt/interest and any profits/money made by the general public has to be used to pay off the debt/interest, and any profits/money made by the general public has to be used to pay off the debt/interest, instead of reinvesting to create new technologies, jobs, etc.

    • Bruce C.

One consequence of all of this may be that people abhor debt and not enter that insane cycle. There was a time in which people grew by savings, not borrowing. Using “OPM” (Other People’s Money) is a kind of snake oil. It works for a while under certain circumstances but not always and is not a sound strategy. My “best friend’s” family built a business from scratch without borrowing for 20-some years. Only when they decided to really expand did they try to borrow and they were declined credit. The reason – they had no credit history! That’s perverse, and shows that bankers/lenders don’t know diddly about real business and real people. If they did a lot of this crazy leverage would never have occurred.

    • nailheadtom

“The Federal government/Treasury needs to flat-out nationalize the
Federal Reserve Banks and issue currency itself with oversight from
      Congress”

Why should currency (money) be issued or authorized by the inept and corrupt Congress? Or any other organ of government? When the country was in its infancy money, in the form of precious metals, originating in the UK, France, Spain, etc., was accepted as the medium of exchange. The economy seemed to operate on that basis. The holy forefathers, needing to buy materials to prosecute their treasonous rebellion, printed fiat money that quickly depreciated to worthlessness, except for payment of taxes. You’ll note that there are no “Continentals” circulating presently. Later, sadly by government edict, US currency was based on gold. This was the medium of exchange during the most rapid economic expansion in world history, the 19th century US. Even so, a money based upon a stable, rare element that has been voluntarily used as a medium of exchange for practically all of human history, wasn’t satisfactory to a government that couldn’t pay for never-ending war against the rest of the world and its financial allies that kept inventing more and more complex and convoluted schemes to extract a parasitic secular tithe from the productive segment of society. Just as you won’t receive a 1778 continental in change at the saloon this afternoon, at some time in the future the fiver you used as a bookmark and forgot last week won’t buy a stick of gum.

  • William Sanders

Corrupt politicians and treasonous Presidents have imposed the same type of government on us that caused American’s to revolt against King George and kill his army of redcoats. Today, it is the wealthy elite who are the modern day King George’s, who have bought our Government and used it’s politician’s as it’s own army of redcoats to keep American’s oppressed under the slavery of debt and taxation, while they enrich themselves like greedy pigs and spy on everything we do. Meanwhile, they conspire to flood the country with more and more cheap foreign labor to assure a permanent underclass who will breed like cockroaches and eventually dispossess us of the very country our forefathers handed down to us as a dear bought inheritance.
We are going exactly the way of Europe, only we have substituted 3rd world Hispanic’s for Muslims. Many nations in Europe have been importing Muslims for so long that they now constitute a significant voting block that decides elections. Politicians in these countries must pander to Muslims now in order to win elections. We see the same happening here in the US. Our Government has for so long done nothing to stop the invasion from the south that we are now inundated with millions of their anchor baby offspring who have grown to voting age and are swaying elections.
We have one chance left to reverse this trend and take our country back from the modern day King Georges and their army of redcoats and Trump is the only man who will do it..

    • RWS

The greatest difficulty confronting the Western world today is invasion by non-Westerners who have no desire to assimilate, who defy law and custom without concern, and who often do not even deign to learn the language of their unwilling hosts. No longer only a conspiracist but almost any thoughtful and unbiased observer would say that the dark future toward which these invasions hourly push us is a deliberate strategy by immoral forces determined to reduce the sizes and powers of the intellectual and entrepreneurial classes, as well as any intent upon protection of individual liberties or constraint of those immoral forces.

As Bobby Jindal cogently observed last year, immigration without assimilation is invasion.

      • nailheadtom

You’re right. The Anglo-Saxon invaders refused to learn and use the Seminole, Pawnee and Athabascan languages of their hosts. Look what this has done to the original owners of the country.

        • RWS

Indeed! And that was invasion and conquest: you probably are an American, as I — and you probably speak none of the aboriginal languages of our land. (To be accurate, more developed languages seldom give way to less developed ones; and, too, the invaders of what now are the United States and Canada also were settlers, as large swathes of their present territories were not permanently populated.)

Invasion and conquest were even more successful to the South of the Rio Grande, where fewer Europeans entered densely populated lands — and largely imposed their laws, customs, and languages upon the aborigines.

          • nailheadtom

More “developed” languages? Are you intimating that the languages of American natives were somehow less complex or nuanced than those of the Europeans? There’s nothing accurate about that statement. If you’re saying that the Inupiat language, for example, is closer to the grunts and howls of baboons than the street argot of Philadelphia, I’m forced to disagree. Why don’t you take a couple of days and learn to speak Anishanabe fluently and then get back to us.

          • RWS

Ah, silly man! To one who does speak more than one aboriginal language (and more than one Western one), your observation is either resentful or just ignorant of reality.

Your initial observation was accurate, however: immigration without assimilation is invasion. Settlement or invasion, the Americas have changed radically before, and they are changing radically now.

Enlighten us on the “reality” that one language is “less developed” than another. Would that be in grammar or syntax? Or both?

“The greatest difficulty confronting the Western world today”

It matters not whether the agent of change is an invasion of brown people that speak different languages or no immigration at all, change will take place. The Western world is an abstraction, the people that occupy it are individuals, each with their own desires and capabilities resulting in individual actions. This Western world has never been static, it’s always been dynamic. Hoping to immobilize it like pinning a butterfly in a frame is a fool’s errand. And why do you or anyone else care anyway? You’re not going to be around to see the outcome.

          • RWS

“Tom”, you seem to be motivated more by resentment than by ignorance. Study language with an open mind, and you’ll know that languages are not equal in complexity or development. You should know that this observation does not devalue the humanity of their speakers.

Of course, all changes. Life itself is dynamic. Constraint upon immigration or defense against invasion would not prevent change, nor need to: protection of a society is not immobilization of it.

Why care about the future? From a sense of charity, if nothing else. A life lived for one’s own passing pleasure is extraordinary selfishness.

          • nailheadtom

OK, Mr. Linguist, give us two examples of “complex” languages and why they are that way. And how about a couple of “undeveloped” languages and how they fit that description?

The fact is that those that live in the future will determine it. Neither you nor I, despite whatever efforts we might make, will have any meaningful effect, sense of charity or not. Even as influential a figure as, for example, Henry Ford, was only able to set some things in motion. He wasn’t able to personally establish that the most important daily goal for the average American would be finding a parking space as close as possible to the front door of the American’s destination.

          • RWS

“Tom”, if you cannot understand differences in linguistic complexity, it would do no good to give you examples of it. (And what you ask for would require a course of instruction, not a brief entry here.)

Of course, the future is shaped by those who live it. Previous generations do influence it, however. (Did you even read the sentences to which you purport to respond? I wrote of caring about the future. There is no dialogue with one who does not care to understand what is written by another.)

          • nailheadtom

Sure, it would do some good for you to provide some examples, and it would be quite easy for you to try. Unfortunately, you realize that be doing so you’d be making a fool of yourself. I understand.

          • RWS

Ah, “Tom”. I may have been mistaken in thinking your comprehension was disguised by anger rather than limited by nature. Either way, I’ll not continue, taking to heart an admonition (which appears in the Iroquois Bible, probably also in yours) not to argue with fools.

          • timamac

No written language? No books? Science?

          • nailheadtom

Since writing is a graphic representation of spoken language, writing and books don’t have anything to do with the complexity of a language. All languages change over time so “development” doesn’t apply. It isn’t really possible to actually determine the total vocabulary of one language in comparison to another because words are formed differently. The terms “complex” and “development” in a language comparative context are meaningless.

You might be surprised to learn that Europeans were actually the 1st ones to N. America. European DNA is prevalent in “Native Americans”, especially ones on East coast.

If true, and that’s doubtful, so what?

  • Tedd Kunkel

The govt of our founding fathers, not the one that we have now, I love and will fight to keep and or restore. Our govt today has been raped of its constitutionality for years now by politicians of both parties.

  • Paul Knapp

    We’ll represent you….Really!
They’re no longer beholden to us. Unaccountable.
And with 2017 election approaching, would like to see more POLARITY. But in doing THAT, denigrates POPULARITY, where they may lose their election goal.
A TRUE LEADER (which first and foremost OUGHT to be WE, the People, exercized), would boldly be bound to PRINCIPLE, no matter what.

While I’m very dissatisfied with both political parties, I’m more dissatisfied with the bureaucrats that actually run the country. Haven’t you noticed that regardless of which party is in power, nothing ever changes? Well, that’s because the bureaucrats are the actual masters of the government. They make the policies and enforces them, regardless of the party in power. If Trump wins the presidency, he will have to master the bureaucracy, or nothing will change. I think the only way to really change the direction of the country, is to fire all of the top government employees and replace them with people from outside the system, otherwise nothing will change. And I do believe that we are heading for a revolution for the very reasons I mentioned above.

Harsh, but when these “leaders” are destroying this nation, what do you expect?

I don’t find the poll results shocking at all. Nor are they surprising, given the actions of the current administration. If the collapse of the economy that so many are predicting actually happens, it will not be surprising or shocking if the politicians in DC end up dangling from street lamp poles, twisting in the wind for the damage they have done and are doing.

It is not surprising that the government is increasingly hated by it’s citizens. From a legal, economic and moral standpoint it has become diametrically opposed to what it was intended to be. People were sold on the idea of the nation being a republic and government being small, simple and ethical.
Now it is anything but. It has become part of an evil empire ruled and run by evil doers. This must end.

The FBI’s list of most dangerous threats: 1. Islamic terrorists 2. Sovereign citizens. Why am i not surprised.

    Reason #49
The US Central Intelligence Agency has, according to multiple investigative reports from both mainstream media outlets and human rights organizations, operated numerous “black sites” across the world. These locations, according to the reports, are secret prisons used to house “ghost prisoners.” Those sent to these places are held captive without being charged with any crime and are not allowed any form of legal defense.
Ghost prisoners are subject to what the CIA calls “enhanced interrogation tactics”; most others call it torture. The CIA and their operatives’ methods allegedly include waterboarding, sleep deprivation, humiliation, physical beatings, electric shocks, and worse.

Article says: “In a survey 84% of all Americans believe political leaders are more interested in protecting their power and privilege than doing what is right” Ahhh wait a minute….. that means 16% surveyed actually “Work For The Government” that do not believe in the statement. So can we surmise that “100% of all Americans believe political leaders are more interested in protecting their power and privilege” that do not work for the government???

The term ‘government’ should be replaced with ‘Elite control mechanism’; and ‘elections’ with ‘smoke and mirrors’.
