Madness Swirls at House Judiciary Committee as Comey Attempts to Justify Hillary Innocence
By Daily Bell Staff - September 28, 2016

Comey on Clinton email probe: ‘Don’t call us weasels’ … The normally-stoic FBI chief grew emotional as he rejected claims that the FBI was in the tank for Clinton. -Politico

James Comey appeared today before the House Judiciary Committee to answer questions about the FBI’s decision not to recommend prosecution of Hillary Clinton regarding misuse of classified emails – and in the process told members that once the politics stopped circulating, the FBI would again be seen as the institution “you know and love.”

This hyperbolic statement certainly set the tone for the larger hearing which saw Comey testifying with unusual emotionalism,  adding at one point that people ought not to see those involved in the decision as “weasels.”

“You can call us wrong, but don’t call us weasels. We are not weasels,” he said. “We are honest people and….whether or not you agree with the result, this was done the way you want it to be done.”

Despite Hillary’s destruction of various phones with hammers (to mention only one issue), he spent several hours insisting, often querulously, that there was no evidence that she intended to obstruct justice or to hide evidence. His statements were mostly a repetition of already presented justifications. As they made little sense previously, they added neither clarity nor insight.

Republican congressmen – many of whom were increasingly incredulous – pressed him in startling ways. Several virtually demanded he reopen the case and others told him bluntly that “you blew it.”

“I would be in big trouble and I should be in big trouble if I did something like that,” said Rep. James Sensenbrenner (R-Wis.). “There seems to be different strokes for different folks. I think there’s a heavy hand coming from someplace else.”

Comey was confronted with new evidence including a Reddit post from July 2014 probably authored by Platte River Networks specialist Paul Combetta seeking information on how to delete a “VIP” email address.  (Platte River provided Clinton server support.) Republican Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte said, “This clearly demonstrates an action to destroy evidence by people operating Clinton’s private server and her staff.”

Comey’s response: It seemed to him to be merely an effort to deal with privacy considerations.

At every turn, Comey simply explained and re-explained the logic of determining that there was no evidence to move forward with prosecution of Hillary Clinton for mishandling emails of the most sensitive kind – and with little new information to bolster his perspective.

Now, following this hearing, the public accusation stands front and center: The director of the FBI, James Comey, himself allowed the FBI to be influenced by political considerations.

We previously published an article here anticipating Comey’s eventual resignation based on his inability to muster further evidence to justify the FBI’s decision. We continue to believe this may be the only feasible outcome. He made few new points and his testimony today was directly confronted by a series of Republican Congressmen who were neither convinced by his further elaborations nor apparently cowed by his power and position.

While the FBI is today positioned as part of the United States Intelligence Community (IC), Comey has executive latitude and if thwarted from making decisions can surely resign. Stepping back, one can certainly see this latest appearance by Comey and the Republican pushback as unprecedented. The FBI virtually – specifically – stands accused of making a decision for political purposes and perverting “justice” to make allowances for power.

This is part of the further breakdown of American society in the 21st century and will not be resolved easily nor quickly. In fact, we would argue that it probably will not be resolved at all. Even were Comey to resign, the ramifications will likely remain as Comey has insisted that his decision was supported by many others in the FBI.

Conclusion: Because of the political aspect and the polarizing nature of Hillary herself, the ramifications of Comey’s decision (and his inability to defend it in a common-sense way)  will linger and poison the FBI’s reputation. It may continue in some sense as the nation’s “secret police force” but it will do so increasingly without the ability to insist – even rhetorically – that it operates in fair and impartial manner.

    what a bunch of weasels!

    • Centurian

Come on! What have you got against weasels? They are better creatures than alphabet guys, apparently.

  • RJ O’Guillory

….James Comey is a Traitor. He needs to be impeached, removed from office… charged and convicted for treason…and then hanged like a treasonous-weasel.

He didn’t want to be called a weasel, so let’s make sure WEASEL is on his tombstone.

  • “We are honest people and….whether or not you agree with the result, this was done the way you want it to be done.” – The only true statement to be made from the start of this sad and extremely disgusting saga – It is very difficult to find parrallels but – as they also say – “In America All Things are Possible” – will Americans NEVER EVER stop deluding themselves – after so far – there is NO WAY BACK – and the time has got to (5 Minutes-Before-Midnight)

What is not being disclosed is that the FBI is under the control of the Director of National Intelligence. Unless James Clapper agrees to exposing Hillary, neither the FBI nor the Justice Dept. is allowed by law to do so. Read The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004
    https://www.nctc.gov/docs/pl108_458.pdf
The NIA is hiding all of this from the public. The FBI director Comey, has to yield to Jame Clapper, Director of National Intelligence. “When Edward Snowden was asked during his January 26, 2014 TV interview in Moscow what the decisive moment was or why he blew the whistle, he replied: “Sort of the breaking point was seeing the Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, directly lie under oath to Congress. … Seeing that really meant for me there was no going back.”[30] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_R._Clapper
The public is excluded from knowing evidence that threatens the globalist agenda.
We have to throw out the “law” that is unconstitutional.. we have to ignore it, nullify the Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act.

    • Actually there are various inputs into the decision including the Dept. of Justice itself. Comey has forthrightly claimed the decision as his own (not just the FBI’s) and thus is stuck with it … and doing a lousy job of justifying it.

      • timothy price

Comey has painted himself into a corner. If he is forbidden, by law, for reasons of national security, from accusing Hillary of criminal behavior, such as espionage..eg. being a pass-through from the State Dept. to ISIS, then he cannot do so… no matter what the evidence is or what he personally thinks. The law is an abomination, hides facts from the public, and has created a dictatorship due to the public being kept ignorant and the traitors cannot be exposed… by law.
Even the Justice Dept. is subject to his decision on this… read the law.

        • By taking such a high profile defending the decision, Comey has made it fully his own and done a lousy job of defending it. He’s risked the rhetorical reputation of the FBI as well. Finally, he’s always had the option of resigning, which he hasn’t done either.

WRONG!! A jury decides what is lawful and what is not. That’s the way the country’s legal system was originally setup and until we call a spade a spade, the thugs will continue to rule. amendment-13.org It starts with enforcing the original 13th Amendment which was given the heave-ho during reconstruction and via the Act of 1871.

Cheney, Bush, Chertoff, Hellerstein, Giuliani ,etal. are gangsters and if we want to take this country back and put it on an honorable path, we have to deal with them first!!!

          • vladdy1

Odd how you named all Republicans.

        • deltajent

” The law is an abomination…”

Let’s not confuse law with statutes, codes, and regulations. They are very different animals. Law always takes precedence over statutes (the arbitrary opinions of men and women calling themselves legislators, dba “the government”). Law is even superior to mere constitutions, which don’t even rise to the level of fraud of a statute (ref. Lysander Spooner).

    • No one special

I do not like Donald Trump one bit, but he made an excellent point when he held up the 38-page Social Security Bill and compared that to the 1000+ page health care bill that Hillary tried to have crammed down our throats. And yet that pales compared to the 2500 page “Affordable” Medical Care Act passed by Congress without having been read out in public. That is a crime of the highest order, and no one paid for it (except the poor SOB’s forced to shell out $12,000/year for a plan with $50 copays and a $5,000 deductible.). The system cannot begin to be reformed until the voters in each congressional district hold their lawmakers to their oath to support the Constitution. Period.

the fbi has long ago lost its’ credibility as an honorable law enforcement agency! when they helped to railroad two innocent “muslims” in albany, ny in 2004 http://www.nytimes.com/2004/08/11/nyregion/bail-denied-for-2-in-albany-in-fbi-s-fake-missile-plot.html?_r=0 their trial included “secret testimony”!!!! This is America? They were convicted and sentenced to hard time at a supermax … leaving TEN CHILDREN FATHERLESS!!! ‘F’ you FBI!!!!

  • Cin

I’m beginning to believe that the the FBI has uncovered something so corrupt that they’re afraid to expose it in fear of bringing the whole system down?!

  • Let’s not beat around the bush; the reputation of the FBI has always been more marketing than substance.

Comey’s crime is not novel in any way.

What is startling about this incident is that the corruption of the organisation so respected by so many for so long, is now so blatant that they’re not even making a serious effort to polish this turd. It’s simply in your face gerrymandering of the criminal justice system, without apology, without pretext, without any sense other than the sense attaching to any crime.

But please don’t play the ingenue and try to sell me that the FBI was a paragon of crime-fighting virtue in some golden age of law enforcement.

I watch Hollywood movies to appreciate the simultaneously genius subtlety and barbaric gall of civilisation’s enemies, not for history lessons.

    • ukalally

yes lets not beat around the bush. all leo’s are traitors when given the chance

      • In my experience, many individuals in such organisations genuinely believe the organisation’s marketing.

Comey doesn’t really have that option as his defense.

      • Centurian

Not correct. The vast majority of LEO’s with whom I’ve worked are honest, sympathetic and caring people. They often have to report to corrupt and criminal politicians though.

There are a few bad apples, but, at least outside of the federal world, most are good people and serve the public well.

The few Feds with whom I’ve worked were similar in the FBI, SS, US Marshal and CIA. They may have been the exceptions rather than the rule. I doubt that the street guys that I’ve known would ever get politically selected to lead an agency. They were just too forthright and honest.

I’m not a shill for the Feds. Hell one of their agencies has been illegally harassing me for years. Most of the time I spent working with the real working LEO’s was in other public service capacities. I was only an LEO for 5 years to work as a medic on a SWAT team that never shot anyone and had great success. We also did protection details.

        • ukalally

ok this is happening all over the US in small towns. feds come in want to dump somalians in the town. mayor act like he is against it gets paid off. white people try to stop it they are arrested tazed and beaten. they will protect the somalians better then their daughters virginity. same thing happened last year when the feds after changing diapers feeding clothing the tens of 1000’s of kids that came over the border started bussing them around the country people tried to stop it and one guy said I cant believe the local cops I know how they are treating us. like you said cops bosses are white hating communists so that makes them traitors when given the chance. so you can take your stories and tell them to a kindergarten class maybe just maybe they might believe you

          • Centurian

That may be the case in some places. But, I have talked with our local Police Chief and officers, trained with them as part of the Fire Department and know that if “the ship hits the sand” here, they are on the side of the people that live here. They will help maintain order, but also repel enemies forgiegn and domestic. One of the reasons that I moved to my little island of peace and privacy. If I lived in a big city, and I’ve lived in many in FL, TN, NC, CA and GA, I’d be more concerned. It really is a lot more like Sheriff Andy and his deputy here. Some people do in fact believe in the right things and many of those people are cops. Smaller government and local control are the key. Our elected officials include some crooks, but no white hating bosses. Then again, this community is 99% white and all of the officials are too.

          • ukalally

all the info is available easy to get on google. I said all cops are traitors given the chance. so once the mayor is bought off he orders the cops to stop all white opposition. I do not think a week goes by I read of it happening. you are in a dream world if you think your chief and mayor cant be bought off by fed money. think of the tanks machine guns grenade launchers they can get besides money put into an offshore account. any body can be bought for the right price. I want you to show me once time the cops disobeyed orders and sided with the people. it never happened. I saw cops pushing people screaming at them and close to shooting them when a bank closed its doors and the people were trying to get their money out. cops have NEVER sided with the people

  • ukalally

if miss piggy the war whore was Italian fbi would have locked her up her brothers aunts and exhumed her parents and lock them up

  • ukalally

if miss piggy was Italian they would have arrested her any brothers sisters grandkids exhumed her parents bodies and put them in jail

  • ukalally

what a lot of people do not understand is you NEVER get to head any agency or even be 2nd or third in line without being a bought off POS. includes all politicians judges etc. also I guess the phony gop guys on the commitee are up for re election

  • Centurian

I once had a clearance for specific reasons and was advised that I didn’t need to know how high the clearance was. There can be genuine security, moral and legal issues that are hard to deal with. I have had to deal with a few.

Was what I did legal? Moral? Right? I destroyed one paper copy of a top secret-nuclear document (it was an interesting read) found in an airport restroom stall. I did not know if it was a mistake or a dead drop, so I took action to do what I thought was in the interest of the country and can’t feel bad about it. If it was a dead drop, it failed and if the admiral that probably left it there later discovered that he had absent mindedly left his “Q” (TS-SCI) document somewhere, perhaps he learned a lesson.

What she and her minions did though is intentional, unfathomable and unforgivable. Comey is no better. So sorry for him. He probably started off OK, but he probably doesn’t want to die in an airplane crash, car accident or by shooting himself in the back of the head!

The whole thing is rigged. I say pack them all into DC and then have the rest of the nation secede from the federal government.

  • mary
    • I was personally contacted in the FBI’s witch hunt of Martha Stewart as I had held MSO stock (for a trade).

      I
say “witch hunt” because it was. The junior G-man (truly – he sounded
as if he was in his 20’s) who called me was plainly disappointed when I
indicated that I had no information that could be used in her insider
      trading case.

I had been ambivalent about the FBI
before that, but that incident made it crystal clear to me that the FBI
was more interested in justifying it’s own existence rather than
      protecting the public trust.

      • MarcS

Bingo, justifying ones own existence! That is the key in govt.

This would be analogous to me murdering my next door neighbour, and then payig off the police and they recommend no prosecution, and somehow the district attorney agrees, yeah makes sense, sure – since when does the prosecutorial powers that be, in the face of proven postulates, not move forward with a prosecution, only in this case apparently, as I am sure nobody else, without the back room dealings, would get this consideration. A week ago I watched a one hour, second-by-second, shot-by-shot account of the Lavoy Finnicum killing by the FBI. It is still stuck in my throat like a sideways fish bone. The evidence makes it abundantly clear beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was a meticulously planned ambush assassination. The evidence also makes clear that the FBI fully intended to murder everyone else in the vehicle, including a teenage girl and her mother. That plan was only abandoned by the FBI when the other occupants refused to be provoked into anything that resembled self-defense even as bullets were being pumped into the vehicle every time the occupants attempted to communicate or comply with the FBI’s orders. This one act by the FBI makes the get-out-of-jail-free card Comey handed to Hillary and crew look tame by comparison.

But at the end of the day, these two events are connected through the uranium under the Hammond Ranch, the bribes paid by a Canadian mining corporation to Hillary through the Clinton Foundation, and the subsequent sale of the uranium holdings to a Russian company. Oh, what a tangled web we weave.

  • L Garou

Yep, he’s the FIB Director, alright..

  • come-and-take-it

The FBI will be a rogue perpetrator of illegal acts until an honest administration cleans out the cockroaches that head the agency. The problem is not just the elected politicians, the bureaucrats entrenched in civil service positions are harder to get rid of than lice or fleas. The FBI is inhabited by parasites who suck the life out of honest people to benefit the corrupt system they have created. The false flag mass shootings have been their baby from the beginning. They are now the organized criminal cabal who needs to be investigated, tried and fired for malfeasance.

Oh, I just finished watching the film “Rollover” released in 1981 ..

    December 1981 ..

Executive Order 12333 was signed and executed on December 4, 1981 ..

The beginning of Operation Stillpoint ..

Stillpoint is STILL in progress ..

It doesn’t end until WE THE PEOPLE say so ..

Ya know, the “consent of the governed.”

I think “maggot” is a more appropriate description than “weasel”.
IMO this country took a left on 9/11 and somehow jumped reality tracks. Maybe it was a side effect of whatever it was they used to take down the towers and bldg 7. But seems to me ever since that date our society has been sliding further and further away from the previous paradigm.

  • Christian Nelson

Comey isn’t smart enough to be a weasel. He’s just a Guinness Book of Records sized lying traitorous polecat.

  • apberusdisvet

Although the FBI for years was suspected of political cronyism, and even though Hoover kept files as potential blackmail (and this trove apparently worked given his long run in spite of constant calls for his resignation), it has only been obvious in the last decade that the FBI has joined the realm of the corrupt bureaucrats. That we have a government rife with sociopaths (or worse) is now given. The FBI will not investigate any of these sociopaths or the Agencies they head even when egregious criminality is exposed. I could make a long list including the EPA, IRS/Lerner, BLM/Bundy, et al. But thankfully, all readers of this excellent site already know

  • Wade House

    1) No Gun shot sounds on any videos. FBI or video from inside car.
    2) No Muzzle flash or smoke.
    3) No Killing! IMO!
But plenty of DIVISION! Oh Yea…Plenty of Division.
    Divide and Conquer!!!

Don’t bother responding to me, just put your proof up. I’m not going to waste another second on this B.S.
If you want to let yourself be fooled…be fooled, be entertained, waste some time.
Eat, go to bed and wake up and do it all over again. 🙂

    • Wade House

      I’m sorry if off topic.

Someone mentioned the FBI Levoy shooting below in the comments.

It took me 30 min. to find out IMO, it was a staged event.

Saying the FBI did this and that is lie saying the American’s cause Wars.
Our Gov’t and Bankers cause wars…not us average citizens.

And it’s the same with the FBI. The regular Agents are fine people. I’ve meet about 4. must we always blame a whole group of people for the actions of the few at he top.

We as Americans’ should know better! Since we are blamed for all the World’s Wars and we have zero say in them!

      Cheers 🙂

      • Wade House

        Yes, my grammar is atrocious!

      • JohnnyZ

You are blamed for the wars, because you support the system, vote for these people, allow them to act in your name, beat yourself in the chest that you are the “indispensable” nation, do some too frequent flag waving etc.

        • Wade House

You don’t know me at all. You don’t know if or how I vote. If you did know me, you would. They can’t act in my name because I’ve been talking about them since Libya. They know better than to act in my name. I’d put a quick stop to that.

Yes I’m very proud of what I’ve done. If you knew me, you would know all this.

You don’t know me, but I know you JohnnyZ. Some one who talks about things and people they know nothing about. Everything you’ve said is total B.S.

So now I know now that you talk about stuff that you know nothing about. That makes whatever you say or have to say as nothing but B.S.

Worthless Made-up, B.S. information based upon nothing more than your own brain.

Your own words prove who and what you are.

    • Leppard Zabelin

If the rifleman from the woods were a trained sniper, he would not shoot into the blockade of vehicles where police were.

  • Weihan Xingqi

You have to wonder: Did someone threaten him or his family? What else could explain this double-standard insanity?

    • mary

Actually, you don’t have to wonder at all. There’s no doubt that the Clinton Crime Family used the carrot and the stick. You think that all of washington isn’t paralyzed into silence by John Ashe/Seth Rich/Joe Montano/Victor Thorn/Shawn Lucas?

    • GMS

I’m sure Obama had a hand in it. Either he knew about the private server or he had sent emails to her that he didn’t want to be looked at. Or, at the very least Obama and the democratic party didn’t want to have to replace Hillary and give the republican candidate a chance to win.

    • thecraziesarerunningtheasylum

Easy answer he is ONE of them and money of course, well fiat currency, its not money~

  • SparkleSalt

Put the F.B.I. in the same bin as the I.R.S., as a corrupted institution that works against the public, not for it.

  • Bruce C.

Another possibility in all of this is that Comey isn’t a shill in the usual sense. Instead he really does think the way he says he does. People are chosen and promoted precisely for those reasons.

For example, it is well known that medical students are chosen for their ability to retain vast amounts of technical information, but NOT for creative, abstract, or critical thinking skills. As a result, medical doctors are some of the “stupidest” people you’ll ever meet in certain ways. Their analytical thinking abilities are abysmal.

Similarly, for corporate executes and government bureaucrats. Just because someone is promoted to a high position of power doesn’t mean they are superior in every way. Only in certain ways, and often not in the way one might assume.

Comey seems like a useful idiot because he is objective only within the framework of the bureaucracy that he’s in. What Clinton did and didn’t do really may be “normal” for one in her and his position, so it “makes sense” to him that she is being judged differently. The FBI is probably constantly engaged in the same kind of unofficial and secretive activities so why wouldn’t he expect his boss to operate that way?

  • He and the IRS director should be placed in a dingy in the middle of the Pacific Ocean with one oar. This would give the two of them to compare their individual hubris. If their hubris were rain, it would fill a barren Pacific ocean bed, in fact.

    Hey Weasel You Blew It!

    • disqussted999

Depends from whose point of view. I have no doubt that from his (?hidden) bank account’s POV, he knocked it outta the park. The Clinton Foundation has $$$Billions that it can hand out at any time…Comey’s payment would likely be (un)listed under some charity’s name, like, Justice For All Charitable Foundation, right? No doubt he’ll be well taken care of…at least for a time. And then, who knows, after that maybe he’ll be well taken care of…as in, leave no witnesses. What a bunch of greedy for power and money slimeballs run this country and its agencies….

      • Joseph Burke

The Clintons are good at that leave no witness thing aren’t they. The Whore of Babylon would make Hitler proud.

  • Lou

“We are honest people and….whether or not you agree with the result, this was done the way you want it to be done.”

So spake Comey on his way home from cashing a check from the Clinton Foundation. I bet if we could look at all the DC insiders who have received LARGE checks from the Clinton Foundation it might explain a LOT.

By the way James is the FBI looking hard at the Criminal Money Laundering Clinton Foundation?

  • Praetor

What’s the old saying, ‘where there is smoke there is fire’, and the Clinton’s have a ton of smoke whirling around them for ‘YEARS’.

Comey its the message you sent! Hillary won’t be prosecuted, but if you do what she did you will be prosecuted. And they have prosecuted people for what she did, recently.

Perversion of Justice is the least of what these political hacks have caused!!!

  • Zaphod Braden

    James Comey is a TRAITOR.

  • chris

why hasn’t this scum been arrested and fired?

The Intelligence Reform and Terrorism Prevention Act of 2004
    https://www.nctc.gov/docs/pl10
Here are a few that give some idea:

They are worse then weasels, way worse… and NO jacka!s it was not done right, you know how I know, because IF it was that lying c@@tbag would be in JAIL!
You are all traitors~ and we wont forget~~

  • Rich A

Just more “Order out of chaos”. They just want us to give up on our system.

  • Don Duncan

If the public can watch this blatant proof of a double standard, i.e., “When you do it, it’s criminal, when we do it it’s not.” and fail to identify it as immoral, unjust and not worthy of support, then they deserve whatever happens to them, they are not innocent victims, they sanction their own victim-hood.
I do not, have not supported government authority, local, state, or federal, since I was 12 (1954). I saw no moral difference between the govt. and the gangs in my neighborhood. Both use violence, threat thereof, or fraud to control. Neither are sustainable. Both are anti-life, anti-rights. But living in society, I will suffer along with others whatever catastrophe their irrationality causes. It’s only logical. I made the decision to stay and enjoy the benefits.

    • john d

And here we have the perfect example of “the c!inton contamination” everything that touches these crooks is soiled. It is appealing that there are people who are willing to overlook the Clinton wrongdoing that has cost this nation so much! Beginning with the corruption surrounding bill and shill when he was governor. From broke to billionaires in 40 years of government service? Who says government service doesn’t pay (2play)!

  • Mogumbo Gono

Just one day after this article, we learn Comey’s undisclosed motives for giving Hillary a complete pass:

    http://thewashingtonstandard.com/fbi-director-comey-took-millions-clinton-foundation-defense-contractor

  • Ephraiyim

While I do not support Constitutional solutions to problems in govt. Using the fact that it No Where allow for a federal police force, we could do awaybwith much of the bullshit by eliminating the FBI, Homeland security and most if not all of the “IC”. NSA, CIA ect could be targeted for, at the very least, massive cuts in personnel and spending. Then ewe could also begin to dismantle much of what is laughingly referred to as Military Intelligence.
Once done we could proceed with getting rid of the Constitution and move toward a Confederation of States with much oversight by the public with only open meetings and no close door negotiations.

  • Joseph Burke

I would say that the six million bucks that Hillary put into his pocket via her “foundation” really really puts this lying skank in Hillery’s pocket.
